The BRC wants to invite all in the community friend's family and sports people, local football teams and Representatives of all parties to the unveiling of essential lifesaving equipment.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the Beechmount residents and wider community that collectively came together and fundraised for these two defibrillators that will be installed Beechmount avenue and the Iveagh area.

Unveiling will take place at Patisserie G cafe on Beechmount avenue at 2pm, Saturday 4th May.

If anyone wants to get involved in the BRC or campaigns and help volunteer to fundraise to build our community hub for the Beechmount area give us a 📨

We have been campaigning for Salt bins for the mid-falls area for 4 years emailing and phoning the Department for Infrastructure and for the past 4years we have been ignored and passed to different departments. There has been no attempt to make contact with ourselves and we have logged complaints and have been told a manager will be in touch, we are still waiting from 2019. We have continued this pressure again a matter of weeks ago due to the forecasted cold weather.

All elected representatives have been emailed who say they represent us and we have only got one reply so far, there is a duty of care for all who live here and there needs to be accountability and a plan that this never happens again. As this is a health and safety issue for our residents; young and old as when the temperature drops our community becomes an ice rink and there is the potential of someone getting seriously hurt.

We will continue to keep the pressure on and fight for much needed resources 👌
