The ideal candidate will be available to work Evenings and weekends. Experience working in bar setting is prefered but not necessary as full training will be given. Trustworthy, enthusiastic, reliable, have great people skills and use your own initiative. 18+

It’s been a hell of a mountain to climb (hence the silence on here 😬) but this evening, Leah served our first customers in Denby Dale: Matt and Emma from Gordon & Frank's Coffee House who have kept us going with coffee and calories 🤤

We’ve just slung the door open to see what happens but we are now open for the weekend!

** New recruit to Bottle & Co: welcome to the team, Leah Senior **

This week, well-known Mapplewell resident and hospitality manager Leah Senior has been welcomed into the Bottle & Co fold ahead of an imminent expansion into Denby Dale.

Although there will be a recruitment drive in HD8, Denby Dale, Leah will be instrumental in running Mapplewell’s sister venue.

She already helped us out at the Holmfirth Food & Drink festival and tonight is behind the bar in Mapplewell.

She’s also been thrown into the deep end of prep work by getting stuck into painting HD8 with Jay (and Ashley put a shift in on Monday 🙏 - and regulars Josh & Ellie have been at it today!)

“I’m so excited to be part of this new project and to be involved from the very beginning” says Leah. “I can’t wait to get to know our new customers - and I’ve bought a Vespa to get me around!”

We’re very lucky to have her as part of our lovely, growing team with Ashley, Chris, Jay and Robin.

This is a fabulous, safe and warm community annual event with scrumptious pie & peas + a drink included in the ticket price. You can bring sparklers 🎆

Greetings!
A lovely autumnal weekend is in prospect by the looks of the weather forecast so call in and try a beautiful Marzen style lager on tap from Braybrooke brewery near Market Harborough.

They specialise in Brewing German-style lagers and the Harvest Festbier is one of their most sought after annual beers; slowly matured over 45 days and is a gorgeous, malty beauty.

Of course we have hoppy goodness pouring too with the Overtone and Azvex running low though so if you’re after one of those - be quick!

But waiting patiently to be tapped are kegs from Sureshot (Screened Out Of Heaven 6% IPA) and Silent Brew Co (In A Hole In The Ground There Lived A Hobbit 5% Pale).

We’re here until 11pm tonight so hope to see you around!

After last week’s Oktoberfest shenanigans it’s getting back to familiarity with three light and hoppy goodies returning to the taps but there’s still three of the authentic strong Oktoberfest lagers pouring alongside:

- Alter Ego: 4% Pale from Woodland Brewing. Light, pale, citrus with a Citra, Eldorado, Sabro hop combo
- Chromaticity: 5.2% Pale Ale from Verdant. Nectaron, Citra and Idaho 7 results in a sessionable pale that's drenched in fruit and funky character.
- Big Boy Sandwich: 6.5% New England IPA from Pressure Drop. Completely by accident, the same hop combo as Chromaticity so more dank goodness but dialled up a bit.

Robin and Ashley are taking you through to an 11pm close tonight then Ashley’s back in at midday tomorrow.

A great time was had last night with Steins, strong German Bier, Pretzels, Lederhosen, Dirndl, Kieran’s Ooompah bangers play list - and he brought in some fab home made Currywurst made with Hacker Pschorr 🤤

Can’t promise Currywurst, but we have everything else ready for round two!

Oktoberfest 2024 incoming! 4th - 6th October 🍻

Only six breweries in Munich have the license and permission to brew original Oktoberfest Bier. We’ll have five of them on tap and all six in bottle!

Be sure to get the good stuff and join us in a couple of weeks for Steins, Lederhosen and Pretzels!

Back at it at Holmfirth Food and Drink Festival after a lovely sunny day yesterday.
We have been pouring beers from Brew York, Woodland brewing, Triple Point Brewery + Bar, a gorgeous 3% Cherry & Raspberry Berliner Weisse from Marsden’s Zapato Brewing and the ever popular Lilley's Cider Mango Cider.

There’s plenty of people milling about so here’s hoping for another good day today! Jay’s already had for breakfast 😂

Situated opposite the new-for-2024 Family Fun Zone, we’ll be in a quieter space in Bamforth Square predominantly pouring draft beer and cider - featuring Gluten Free options too.

Track’s Gold Top brews are always phenomenal and this latest, Glimmer, is no exception. Citra T90, Citra Cryo, Galaxy, Motueka T90 & Motueka Cryo sounds very technical, but basically T90 and Cryo are just two ways of delivering the hoppy goodness.

This weekend we have a mini tap takeover from Verdant Brewing Co - Brewery & Taproom with a trio of Sharks!

Many of you will be familiar with Even Sharks Need Water (6.5% IPA) and Whale Sharks (a 8.4% Double IPA version), but new out for their 10th Anniversary celebrations is Baby Sharks at 4.8%.

Tasting all three back to back (just a third of each?) is great to experience essentially the same beer but at different ABVs. And they all taste spot on 🤌

We have tapped another keg of Lupu Lion (4.3% Pale Ale, Gluten Free), kept with Triple Points’ 4.1% Helles Lager (also Gluten Free) and have a 4.7% Triple Fruited Sour from Silent Brew Co, Berried Treasure.

Along with the usual array of goodies on the shelf and in the fridge, we’re open until 11pm tonight and midday - 7pm tomorrow.

We’ve had a large Verdant Brewing Co - Brewery & Taproom drop this week with some familiar brews returning plus some specials in can and keg as part of their 10th anniversary celebration. Yes, they’ve kindly sent us some balloons too! 🎈

The special 10yrs brews are both collabs with a couple of fantastic breweries - and there’s more to come next week with two other mega collabs.

** Open from 12 tomorrow **

As you may know, the Tour of Britain cycle race is passing through Mapplewell and Staincross tomorrow. The route will see them coming down the hill on Greenside, passing directly outside our door before swooping right at the crossroads on to Darton at approximately 2pm.

So we’ll be open slightly earlier than normal - from Midday - for you to come and soak up the atmosphere. (We have 0% alcohol options too!) 🚴
