Craft classes here at Bea Crafts 🐝
Amy swifties out there might notice a Taylor Swift themed class later this month!! 🎶 💃 ❤️ If you think the weather's making it a 'cruel summer' so far 😏 come along and paint a canvas to hang in your room! There will be drinks and snacks and a surprise gift 🎁 Spaces limited so 'speak now' and book your place.
This class is on Friday 26th July not the 24th, sorry I put the wrong date 🙈
Booking essential with a £5 deposit.

Morning it's not a good one and we hope for better times to come.
I thought it would be nice to share a couple of pictures from the shop, we are a traditional paper shop with seven paper rounds going out each morning if you would like to join in this age old tradition that helps to teach young people how to earn their own money give us a call or pop in.

Here's something a little bit different.
Pewter thimbles 45 in total. Many with moving parts.
This is a nice collection to add to one or as a starter package.
The thimbles range in value from £5-£10 upwards with some big quite rare.

Good morning 🌄 it's a wee bit chilly but it's getting better day by day.
The shop is known as a newspaper shop and so it is we send out seven lads each day to deliver the papers,if you would like to have a paper delivered let us know.
Recently we have been refitting the shop and have extended the range as you can see along with a nice and growing range of cards the cooler cabinet is full of popular soft drinks. We have a nice range of everyday needs and now a freezer full of goodies.

It was almost three years ago I decided to open The Wise Penny in Newmarket Street, at that time it was a busy walk through and it started well, the gifts and crafts were popular and people kept coming back for more the first year saw a good summer and things were picking up, then for no aparent reason it started to go quiet. Lesley moved into the shop and took with her an idea for developing the Crafts and giving other crafters a platform to show and sell what they had made. She introduced a small coffee area and started developing craft classes, but with all her efforts the ammount of people around continued to dwindle and it felt at times as if they had just stopped.
I watched her day after day sitting for 8 hours and the ammount of sales would not have covered the electric, no help was coming from any direction, then the fire at the Station Hotel seemed to seal its fate. Sitting all day for £30 in sales was not any ones idea of fun.
The decision to close the shop was very difficult unless you have run one its hard to understand the emotions that you go through. I simply want to say thank you to Lesley for sticking with it day after day I love you, and admire how you have coped with this.
One good thing has come out of it the Craft Classes are very popular and will continue to run from the shop so if this is your thing give her a ring or send a text and have a chat with her.

Good morning 🌞, the shop has been here for about 50 years during that time it has had various owners and had dependent on it's newspaper sales.
This has not changed we have 14 paper boys delivering about 200 plus papers and magazines a day,if you would like to have a daily paper give me a call.
Finally for now we have a nice selection of gifts and cards take a look at the attached photos and come to see them and more.

Good morning 🌄 from The Corner Shop in Beresford Terrace.
I have attached two pictures of the shop today.
The first gives you an idea of our general household goods we now stock,from soaps to biscuits and medicines to pet food please pop in and have a look.
As you can see we also have a nice collection of gift bags available, along with a choice of gifts.
Finally we are looking into starting a delivery 🚚 round for household goods as well as milk 🍼 bread ect.

Happy New Year to one and all, as this new time starts none of us knows what it will bring, and I guess as other years it will be a mix of good and no so good and as past years we will all struggle through the coming months.
I watched the film Evan Almighty yesterday and one thing that stood out again to me was the meaning of the word ARK.

Acts random kindness.
