The work has begun! 🚧 We're honestly so excited for the next phase of the store. Whilst we may look closed, we are open through the side door. 💜

A huge thank you to the builders who are already getting the job done! We're SO EXCITED! 😆

Tomorrow is the day... 💜 We're honestly so excited to share/document the process of the store refurbishment. 👷‍♀️

I took some time to reflect on what the store looked like when I first took it over. How time flies! 🥺

Customer Update!

So it's all go this week 😬 The girls and I will start moving the majority of the stock through into the store room tomorrow.

Thursday it's all happening BT, tills alarms etc moving - by Thursday teatime we will be set up in the store room to trade.

Friday the fitters arrive and start the process!

I hope you can bear with us and I know the final result will be worth all the upheaval.

During this time we will be accessible via the store room around the side.

I'm 90% sure pay point and payzone will operate as normal but can't accommodate the ATM sorry.

***Atm Service**

Due to the disruption on Friday our ATM was not filled up and I've just been advised that due to high demand we are a low priority and therefore won't be back out until Friday coming.
The ATM will go out of service soon and sadly won't be available again until late friday afternoon.

**Exciting News**

Braefoot Store is going to undergo a refit which will affect our trading! As many of you may have noticed some stock lines are disappearing and the shop floor is starting to look a little sparse in places.

I am trying to keep the best sellers and the place filled with essentials but in time this may start to become more difficult. Soon the whole shop floor will have to be moved to our back stock room where we will trade for a few weeks whilst the renovation takes place.

This will be difficult but I hope to still provide the essentials that the village needs, I hope you can all bear with us during what will be quite a stressful time 😬

I was waiting for full confirmation from my bank for funding and the builders giving us the go but many people have been asking so I feel I should let the village know of our plans.

I'll update everyone when I have full confirmation but we hope to begin the early weeks of February.

So after a failed attempt at coming to work today just a notice to apologise in advance. I had a van load of stock that I knew we needed - lentils for soup lol a must in this weather and more salt for the roads! And other bits and pieces.

I would also be filling the ATM this morning for the weekend so I apologise if the ATM becomes out of service at some point today 😔

After leaving Falkirk the roads were getting worse and worse and eventually the M77 I had to admit defeat and head home. I'm a confident driver and driven those roads countless times over my years at Braefoot Store but it was my journey home I was getting worried about. I would have been asking for a room tonight 😳🤣

If the weather clears for me and the route down I may head down later tonight.

Thanks for your understanding 😊

Ps yes that's my van abandoned on my drive - least it got stuck at the last hurdle 🤣
