{The contactless card payment limit is rising from £45 to £100 on 15 October}

From 15 October, customers will be able to make in-store contactless purchases of up to £100 without using their PIN. If you are nervousness about the rise, please contact your bank / card provider to set your own limit.

Card providers will prevent contactless payments
* if you try to spend above the contactless limit
* if you've made more than five contactless transactions in a row using the same card
* if the total amount spent since you last had to verify a transaction exceeds £300

Note to Our Paypoint/Payzone Energy topup customers

Customers, especially vulnerable customers, may be concerned about their energy company going out of business.

Here is some guidance to help you with your queries.

* Customers will still have gas and electricity if their supplier goes out of business.
* The energy regulator, Ofgem, will arrange for customers to be transferred to another supplier.
* If a supplier goes out of business, customers might have to wait a few weeks to find out who their new supplier is. They will contact affected customers to give them an update.

If a supplier has gone out of business, customers should:
* Take meter readings - it’s useful to take a photo of the meter readings too.
* Keep any old bills - these can help prove payment history, credit balance or debt.
* Make a note of the account balance – this is on the most recent account statement.
