After years of frustration over the ๐’‘๐’๐’๐’“ ๐’”๐’•๐’‚๐’•๐’† ๐’๐’‡ ๐’•๐’‰๐’† ๐’‡๐’๐’๐’•๐’‘๐’‚๐’•๐’‰๐’” ๐’Š๐’ ๐‘ณ๐’๐’–๐’ˆ๐’‰๐’ˆ๐’‚๐’๐’, weโ€™re finally seeing progress ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘. The Department for Infrastructure (DfI) and the Council have confirmed that ๐’˜๐’๐’“๐’Œ ๐’˜๐’Š๐’๐’ ๐’„๐’๐’Ž๐’Ž๐’†๐’๐’„๐’† ๐’Š๐’ ๐’•๐’‰๐’† ๐’„๐’๐’Ž๐’Š๐’๐’ˆ ๐’˜๐’†๐’†๐’Œ๐’” ๐’•๐’ ๐’Š๐’Ž๐’‘๐’“๐’๐’—๐’† ๐’•๐’‰๐’† ๐’”๐’†๐’„๐’•๐’Š๐’๐’ ๐’Š๐’ ๐’•๐’‰๐’† ๐’„๐’†๐’๐’•๐’“๐’† ๐’๐’‡ ๐’•๐’‰๐’† ๐’—๐’Š๐’๐’๐’‚๐’ˆ๐’†, ๐’๐’‘๐’‘๐’๐’”๐’Š๐’•๐’† ๐’•๐’‰๐’† ๐’”๐’‰๐’๐’‘.

These footpaths have been in a shocking state for too long, creating hazards for pedestrians and making the village centre look neglected. This scheme will greatly improve safety and enhance the overall appearance of the area, with planned granite works and new planters helping to restore pride in our community.

๐‘ฒ๐’†๐’š ๐’‘๐’๐’Š๐’๐’•๐’”:

๐Ÿ”จ DfI will also assess other defects and work to address them

While this is a positive step forward, I believe there is still more to be done. I will continue to push for a Village Regeneration Plan that would deliver a public realm scheme to renew all the footpaths with granite paving to ensure Loughgallโ€™s infrastructure is fit for the future and enhances the character of our beautiful village ๐Ÿฅฐ.

A special mention to the Loughgall District Improvement Association, whose dedication to the village has been invaluable. Itโ€™s always a pleasure to work alongside them in delivering real improvements for the community. ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ‘

Thank you to DfI and the Council for listening to local concerns and taking action. I look forward to seeing these long-overdue improvements get underway.

Hi if anyone is missing a white with patches of grey tabby cat she's been locked in our work shed all weekend... but she is fine has been fed and given water and sent on her way. I think she lives in the rectory close area. she's a lovely cat and comes to visit us often but unfortunately we didn't notice she'd got locked in until this morning. ๐Ÿฑ๐Ÿˆ
