✈️🧳🛳️ The B&B Pub Quiz is moving! 🛳️🧳✈️

🧠 Starting from Monday 4th November the Pub Quiz is moving up to the Bank Vault for the winter! Since the mezzanine was put in we've got loads of space up there so hopefully we'll be able to fit in even more teams! 🧠

📝 We are also going to be taking limited bookings for tables to try and alleviate the stress for people who can't turn up early to grab a seat! Message us on social media or drop an email to [email protected] and we'll do our best to accommodate you 😁

As you might know Bottle and Barrel are involved with Aberystwyth' new brewery Bragdy Dwy Afon - Two Rivers Brewery .

We produce between 100kgs to 200kgs of spent grain a week as a by-product of brewing and we are desperately looking for local farmers to take it.

Its free and makes ideal sheep food and is available bi weekly to collect from our unit on the towns industrial estate.

Please help! 😊

😢 Paddy here - sorry to announce that I'm going to have to cancel the quiz Monday night. Many apologies for this, especially after having rearranged it once already 😢

😺 The quiz was postponed last week as I had to take my cat (Percy) for an emergency vets appointment for an injured leg. Turns out he has some serious ligament damage which requires an operation and they've managed to get us booked in for next Monday which unfortunately means I'm going to have to cancel the quiz for this month. Many apologies for this and I hope you understand! 😺

👀👀👀 We've had an big restock of the non-alc fridge with some fantastic beers (and a cider!). Whether you like pales, lagers, stouts or sours we've got something for you to try - just because they don't have alcohol doesn't mean you can't have the joy of trying some great craft brews!

🌎 We've even managed to get hold of some European non-alcs - with two radler style beers from Germany 🇩🇪 and Czechia 🇨🇿, as well as a berry sour from Poland 🇵🇱

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 Finally, from a bit closer to home we have the first non-alc from a new Welsh business - Yma O Hyd - a lovely, malty IPA from in the Vale of Glamorgan, Iechyd Da!

🏞️🏞️ We've got our first beer from pouring now! As you can see Chris the brewer is very excited for you all to come and try it 😁

BREWERY NEWS!

We're super excited to announce that the Bottle and Barrel & Bank Vault are opening a brewery in Aberystwyth with a team of super talented people. The brewery is called Dwy Afon / Two Rivers and we'll concentrate on the art of cask first and then add modern keg beers later this year.

Expect to see a brew from this summer, we're even adding an additional cask line at the B&B to keep our beer line up as varied as ever and cask will be returning to BV!
