February 22nd is firmly in the diary each year to celebrate one of our favourite producers 🍇

Today commemorates the first plantings of Pinot Noir vines in Willamette Valley, 22nd Feb, 1965 🌱

We were very lucky to have Jason join us for a tasting last summer, today we fully intend on doing some tasting here.. 1st up will probably be the Trousseau..🍷

If there ever was an excuse needed to drink these remarkable wines.. this is it.

Might even dig some old bottles out..

New wines in! 🇮🇹

Bloody love them, like my own children!

Located in Negrar di Valpolicella, one of the seven municipalities of Valpolicella Classico, L’Arco is an exciting project led by a serious young winemaker named Luca Fedrigo. 🍷

Not to name drop but he is the protege of legendary Amarone producer, Giuseppe Quintarelli, Fedrigo spent a decade, starting from the age of 17, under the mentorship of Quintarelli, refining his winemaking style as Assistant Winemaker and Vineyard Manager.👨‍🎓

In 2001, Fedrigo embarked on his venture, L’Arco, with the aim of producing small quantities of very high-quality wines from the Valpolicella area, where he was raised.⛰️

Fedrigo's philosophy revolves around respecting nature by nourishing the land, practicing organic, abstaining from herbicides or pesticides entirely since 2004, and employing natural pest control methods. Within the winery, chemicals are omitted, with only minimal additions of SO2 in the wine where necessary.🌱

The wine in question is a firm Favourite here, there's no hiding our love for great Gamay, and is Domaine Marcel Lapierre the pinnacle of that Beaujolais Pantheon? 🍷

The 2023 Morgon certainly feels like it could be, the most we've enjoyed ripping open and quickly drinking a bottle so far in 2025, honestly when opened, it doesn't take long disappear, we've opened few.😉

Beautifully pure & expressive, proper good low intervention wine that you all need to taste/inhale with us!🍷

This Thursday you can.. we will be celebrating this wonderful wine in the way it should be, shared with friend's or loved ones, in its simplest form, open and poured! 😊

We will be lighting the firepit and cooking delicious Bavette steak's from , the perfect accompaniment for some juicy Morgon.🍷
