And Gevrey from classic 2017 vintage and … under the radar yet always high quality tannins and fruit with less and less oak … here the shift was in progress ! 91/92

Vinitaly 2025… last day, a glance at Tuscany, my love for Sangiovese cannot be higher 😎😅

2020 Brunello s are refined and elegant. Softer than 19 where lots of riserva were made ! I like the style of that vintage so far… full review shortly on stanrocher.com and some on cellar tracker !

Allez une petite fenêtre sur le salon pour goûter une série de très grand Vin . Certains sortent vraiment du lot. Avec une fraîcheur élégance et un style assez unique. Il y a parfois 1° et demi d’alcool, voire deux selon les Domaine.. inutile de vous dire que rarement à 15 15 1/2 le plaisir a été le même.

Tasted some Classico as well and Chianti s ! More restrained and a lot less luscious and appealing. But what a spécial area too. Altitude and freshness give the wines some great complexity. Badia, Monterraponi, castellina, Volpaia, querciabella, Lamole to name a few of the best in terms of style and freshness. Monsanto stands for a unique style over more luscious aromas and almost Brunelloesque tannins.

Un tour aussi sur le stand des Chianti Classico , mais pas eu le temps trop de développer malheureusement. Il est temps de retourner faire un tour en Toscane physiquement. 😎😇

unfortunately, I couldn’t taste as much super Tuscan as I wanted . But again,the terriccio style stood out mostly with entry level hyper quality wines Tassinaia ! Banger 😎👍

For the first bike ride of the year ! Kickstart of the season 😎

Sadly, one of the nicest area in between Minervois and Saint Chinian underwent a huge fire … vineyard not damaged but all the beautiful wood and surroundings were 😩🥹

Un petit tour de vélo dans les vignes pour reprendre avant le printemps qui pointe son nez. C’est bien dommage, un des plus beaux endroits entre Saint Chinian et Minervois est passé à l’épreuve du feu. Les vigne ne semble pas endommagées mais autour les bois de pins ont sacrément souffert.

It’ll take a little time to grow again and get the beauty back … sad 😔

One small appellation only beaten by Clairette du Languedoc for smaller one is nestled just in between St Chinian and Minervois ! One village, one wine ! Any idea guys ?

Entre Saint Chinian et Minervois, une toute petite appellation qui produit un vin unique sur un seul village, avec un seul cépage ! Une idée ?

Un bon gros week end … trop ? Possible oui 😎😂

What an intense week end of tasting and events … well maybe too much at once 😱😎😂😇😏… recovery was long 🤣😛😜

Fantastic line up of iconic Baroli !!! Insightful to have them all at once and being able to compare styles, place, vinification etc … regarding that maybe the Monfortino was the epitome of all the styles with both elegance, length and power … top 3 Monfortino, Monvigliero, Bartolo/ Monprivato… but a close end … all wines of amazing quality… bit of VA on Tre Tine sadly …

Next day… fantastic whites with erste Lage from and its really easy drinking style at 11 abv … vat 47 with buttery and ripe aromas elegantly supported by zingy acidity !! Savage red full of pepper and dark berry, blueberry muffin 😍… top 2018 Marcarini Commune ! Again that vintage is underrated ! Great 16 from Yannick Feraud, hint of evolution but still huge dark fruit and ripe aromas plus garrigue etc …

Un très gros week end !!! CR de degustation Barolo sur Cellartracker et le reste au dessus et dans les commentaires plus bas
