La vendimia es manual y las uvas de color amarillo dorado se clasifican cuidadosamente en todas las parcelas.

Este vino ofrece una hermosa salinidad, con amargos toques muy hermosos en el final. Un gran vino que mejorará a lo largo de diez años (o más) en su bodega y que acompañará carnes blancas, aves o pescado en salsa

The name of this natural wine, "la Chaussée Rouge", comes from the name of the place where the plot is located, the scene of a battle between blues and whites during the Vendée wars. It is said that after this bloody battle, the road was blood red.

"La Chaussée Rouge has a translucent cherry red colour. The nose is expressive, with red and black berries, pepper and roasted pepper. The palate is round, supple, fresh, with a finely velvety/pulpy texture, and a gourmand fruit (blackcurrant dominant) underlined by pepper. The finish is finely chewy, with fruit and freshness in crescendo, with a persistence of spice and blackcurrant.

El nombre de este vino natural, procede del nombre del lugar donde se encuentra la parcela, escenario de una batalla entre azules y blancos durante las guerras de Vendée. Se cuenta que tras esta sangrienta batalla, el camino era rojo sangre.

"La Chaussée Rouge" presenta un color rojo cereza translúcido. La nariz es expresiva, con bayas rojas y negras. En boca es redondo, flexible, fresco, con una textura aterciopelada, y una fruta golosa (grosella negra) subrayada por la pimienta.

This wine is 100% Chenin.
It has a pale yellow colour. The nose is discreet, rather reduced, but pleasant, revealing ripe white fruit and fresh citrus. The palate is long, taut, with a very fine acidity, while displaying a pulpy, gourmand, surprisingly velvety / fleshy substance for a white wine, which makes it very endearing. The finish reveals a chalky chewiness, with crisp fruit and smoky / grilled / reduced notes that give it a touch of class. A confusing wine in a good way, which is hard not to fall in love with.
It will give you a lot of pleasure as an aperitif or as an accompaniment to cheeses, grilled fish or sauces.

Este vino presenta un color amarillo pálido. La nariz es discreta, más bien reducida, pero agradable, revelando fruta blanca madura y cítricos frescos. En boca es largo, tenso, con una acidez muy fina, a la vez que despliega una sustancia pulposa, golosa, sorprendentemente aterciopelada / carnosa para un vino blanco, lo que lo hace muy entrañable. El final revela una masticabilidad calcárea, con fruta crujiente y notas ahumadas / a la parrilla / reducidas que le dan un toque de clase. Un vino confuso en el buen sentido, del que es difícil no enamorarse.
Le dará mucho placer como aperitivo o como acompañamiento de quesos, pescado a la parrilla o en salsa.

Originally from Burgundy, Maxime Magnon trained with great natural winemakers, including Thierry Allemand in the Rhone Valley and Philippe Valette in Macon. He settled in 2002 in Villeneuve-les-Corbières and runs a 14 hectare estate on the magnificent terroirs of the Vallée du Paradis, in the south of the appellation, not far from Fitou.

Maxime works these predominantly clay-limestone and schist soils by hand and with a caterpillar, without the use of phytosanitary products, and also lets sheep and Jersey cows graze in the vineyards during the winter, with the idea of encouraging the microbial life of the soil. This solution avoids autumn ploughing, which causes runoff and erosion on the hillsides, and limits soil compaction.

Maxime Magnon's wines are distinguished by a well-established style, which combines fruitiness, freshness, digestibility, fine texture, precision and balance. It is a real pleasure to rediscover the Corbières appellation under this new face which pays a worthy tribute to this beautiful terroir.

Maxime trabaja estos suelos predominantemente arcillosos-calcáreos y de esquisto a mano y con una oruga, sin utilizar productos fitosanitarios, y también deja pastar a las ovejas y a las vacas de Jersey en los viñedos durante el invierno, con la idea de favorecer la vida microbiana del suelo.

Los vinos de Maxime se distinguen por un estilo bien establecido, que combina frutosidad, frescura, digestibilidad, textura fina, precisión y equilibrio. Es un verdadero placer redescubrir la denominación Corbières bajo esta nueva cara que rinde un digno homenaje a este hermoso terruño.
