Each Busway piece is connected with a joint kit, the
joint kits feature a single bolt design and a special
torque indicating, double headed break-off bolt,
this eliminates the need for torque wrenches and
assures proper torque during installation, both
joint plates of the joint kit and the conductors
are tin plated. It prevents the joint plate from
discoloration and corrosion.

Double Headed Bolts
Double –headed bolts are used to ensure a proper torque level when installing the joint kit. If a torque wrench applies a pressure 85N/m to the outer bolt head, the head of the outer bolt and the tag attached to it will be sheared off automatically.
The remaining bolt head can be re-used when tightened to 85N/m using a torque wrench.
