The first release of the year from Grape of the Art was released today - a truly beautiful Armagnac from Domaine Charron from 2004. 🦓 Only 19 years old, you think? Don't be fooled, this zebra is a blast! A fantastic tasting experience that we can highly recommend.

GORDON & MACPHAIL CLYNELISH 2009 15 YEARS

Vi havde lidt for travlt med vores Afterwork Connoisseurs Club i går (tak til alle, der deltog) og havde ikke tid til at lave et opslag med denne fantastiske Clynelish single cask fra Gordon & MacPhail, som ankom for et par dage siden. Så nu er der desværre kun én flaske tilbage, men vi syntes stadig den var værd at vise. Pris: 1.245 dkk.

We were a bit too busy with our Afterwork Connoisseurs Club yesterday (thanks to everyone who joined) and didn't had the time to make a post with this amazing Clynelish single cask from Gordon & MacPhail which arrived a few days ago. WHISKY TASTING 08. FEBRUARY 🥃

I dag ankom de sidste flasker til vores whiskysmagning d. 8. februar. Det bliver en fantastisk start på smagning sæson 2025. Alle whiskyer er single casks og har ligget på Bourbon fade. Der er stadig et par billetter tilbage så skynd dig med at samle dine makker for at smage blandt andet en 26 årig Linkwood eller en 25 årig Braes of Glenlivet.
Nå ja, en 28 årig et-andet-rigtig-lækkert surprise bottle trækker vi også lige ude af hatten! Vi er helt on fire, kan i mærke det?! Det var en lang periode uden smagninger for os. 😅🤩 Vi ses i februar.

The last bottles for our whisky tasting on February 8th arrived today. It will be a fantastic start to the 2025 tasting season. All whiskies are single casks and have been aged in Bourbon barrels. There are still a few tickets left so hurry up and gather your mates to taste, among other things, a 26 year old Linkwood or a 25 year old Braes of Glenlivet.
Oh yes, we will also pull a 28 year old something-else-really-delicious surprise bottle out of the hat! We are completely on fire, can you feel it?! It was a long period without tastings for us. 😅🤩 See you in February! 🥃

Tilbage i 2021 lancerede La Maison & Velier Magnum rom serien, i sammenarbejde med Magnum Press Agency. Serie nr. 2 hylder den amerikanske fotograf Alex Webb, som er kendt for livlige, fængslende farvefotografier.

Tasting notes

Nose: Raisins, demerara sugar and heather honey, with notes of fig jam, molasses-coated hazelnuts and cinnamon.

Palate: Honeycomb, treacle tart and muscovado sugar, followed by plum syrup, butterscotch and ginger spice, with notes of Christmas cake and maraschino cherries.

Højdepunktet i vores julesmagning var helt klart denne 29-årige Glentauchers fra Gordon Macphail fra et first fill sherry butt. En perfekt dram. Der er en enkelt flaske tilbage, og den bliver måske din, hvis du ikke er på uartiglisten.

Så er den sidste smagning for i år afholdt og sikke en fantastisk aften det har været med en masse glade whiskyenthusiaster (6 af dem kvinder 💪🏻), julestemning og rigtig lækre drams.🥃Et stort tak til alle jer der var med i går eller til én af de andre smagninger i år. Det var en fornøjelse at nørde både whisky og rom med så mange af jer. Vi kan vel godt sige, at vores mission om at introducere jer til en række uafhængige tappere har været en kæmpe succes. Vi ser frem til mange spændende smagninger i 2025 og glæder os til at se jer igen i Odense.

The last tasting for this year has been held and what a fantastic evening it has been with a lot of happy whisky enthusiasts (6 of them women 💪🏻), Christmas spirit and really delicious drams.🥃A big thank you to all of you who joined us yesterday or at one of the other tastings this year. It was a pleasure to geek out on both whisky and rum with so many of you. We can safely say that our mission to introduce you to a number of independent bottlers has been a huge success. We look forward to many exciting tastings in 2025 and to seeing you again in Odense.

Our Story

We are the sole retailers of Wm. Cadenheads Products in Denmark. The Cadenheads Authentic Collection (AC) can only be purchased in the Cadenheads Shops in Europe. We have just celebrated our 175th Anniversary in 2017 with an amazing set of bottlings.

Our company is a sister company to the Springbank and Glengyle distilleries in Campbeltown that are in turn owned by the J&A Mitchell concern in Campbeltown, Scotland.

We have been in business in Odense as a dedicated Cadenheads Shop since summer 2005. We hold tastings regularly in the shop and have many private tastings. If you are interested n any of these events you can see them on our web shop (our planned tastings) or you can contact the shop to organise your own private tasting (Rum or Whisky).
