Thank you for this important book. It gives 13 different perspectives (stories to inspire change) on how to reduce the carbon footprint in the world of wine. Both from the vineyard, in the winery and when the wine is transported from the winery to us importers and on to the clients. A lot to think about and thank you to all of you who makes a contribution to reducing your own carbon footprint.

I need to figure out I can contribute on my own.

Så er der landet ny årgange fra Davide Pellizzari (og Stefano Occhetti)

Davide Pellizzari - Lange Nebbiolo 2021 kr. 210 (normalpris 250). Magnum 2020 til 445.
Flot og virkelig imødekommende lange nebbiolo. Elegante tanniner og skøn frugt. Der er 20 % af druerne der macereres “helklase/wholebunch”, hvilket giver et løft til frugten. Vinen lagres 12 måneder på 300 l gamle træfade. Herefter lagres vinen yderligere 12 måneder på flaske inden frigivelse. Der er lavet 3000 flasker. Der er fortsat få magnum 2020 tilbage. Er du vild med Nebbiolo skal denne prøves.

Very happy for a chance to visit Jean Marchall a few days before the harvest started.

Great conversations and beautiful wines. VERY high focus on quality and very exciting with the use of ceramic vats.

We tasted his beautiful Bourgogne Blanc, Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er cru Les Perrières and Chambolle-Musigny Village. All in 2023. Beautiful wines.

Tydeligvis en vinmager, der tager sin dolcetto alvorligt. Brillant rubinfarvet og velduftende med bitre bær og campari. Slåen, tranebær og druens typiske lidt bitre smag træder tydeligt frem og giver vinen karakter. Den holder blot 12,5 % og efter tidens standarder kunne man tro det var umoden frugt, men sådan er det slet ikke. Opfat dem hellere som forfriskende og balanceret. Her er appelsinskræl og kinin, en nordisk tone og drik-mig-attitude. Tag den til dine grillede lammekoteletter.

Last year in Bolzano I was recommended to taste a blauburgunder “Vom kalk” from . I really loved the wine. Back in 🇩🇰 I tasted the full portfolio and really liked all of them. Now I had the chance for my first visit at the winery just outside Bolzano.

We meet up with .niedrist for a tour of the beautiful vineyards, celler and a chance to taste the lovely wines again.

They have 12 ha vineyards. We visitet Eppan Berg overseeing the village of Girlan. Very healthy vineyard. Beautiful fruit, vines and full of flowers in the cover crop.

We tasted the full range of wines and for sure my impression from tasting the wines before was confirmed.

I am very happy to start representing Niedrist in 🇩🇰🇩🇰🇩🇰. Stay tuned.

I have been looking at the hill of Bricco San Biagio in La Morra everytime I visit Marco and his family at Ciabot Berton. One of the most beautiful spots in Langhe.

I have also been reading about the vineyard in the great book “Barolo Terroir” by and .

This time we visited the vineyard. Marco has expanded and now have 4,5 ha of Bricco San Biagio. He has a small plot of barbera dating back to 1944 and the rest is 50+ years old nebbiolo. The barbera plot produces a beautiful barbera superiore and the nebbiolo grapes are used in one of his two blended barolos.

Marco explains that his test of the underground shows that the hill is a “pierce of Monforte” but in the climate of La Morra. He has been vinifying the grapes from Bricco San Biagio separate for years now. Who knows, maybe there will be a new Barolo in the portfolio in the future.

In a difficult year due to all the rain I was really surprised by how healthy the vineyard was. Beautiful fruit.

After the walk we tasted his barbera Bricco San Biagio and a few beautiful barolos.

My daughter Emilie joined Marco, one of his sons and me. It was a great visit.

Meeting up with Davide Pellizzari .vino and Lisa Saverino at Ceretto to discuss biodynamics in vineyard management. Must admit that I was listening and learning more than I was talking. Really insightful for me. Thank you both.

And fantastic to taste the beautiful wines of . Rocche di Castiglione 2020 and Prapo 2015 being my favorites of the day in a very nice lineup.

Great visit at Swantje and Marco at their winery (La Vedetta) in Tre Stelle, Barbaresco.
They live more or less in the middle of their small monopoly vineyard Ca Grossa from where they produce their two beautiful barbaresco’s and langhe nebbiolo.

Very interesting to hear about how it has been starting up the winery. They have had the luxury of gradually taking back beautiful vineyards from rent. But hard work and a lot of learnings.

Was a pleasure meeting you and I really look forward to start working together and representing you in 🇩🇰🇩🇰🇩🇰
