New arrival from Japan. 🇯🇵
With "on the way", the path of Chichibu can be followed very well over the years. Initially wild and unheralded, this bottling series now enjoys a large number of increasingly older casks from the Japanese distillery. Mastermind and whisky legend Ichiro Akuto has married casks aged between eight and 15 years for this edition. An incredible depth and the typical freshness of Chichibu duel at the highest level. We find a very nice nose, apple peel, peach, white pepper. Very light tropical fruit notes on dried pineapple.In the mouth, it remains in continuity with the sour candy notes, with lots of different fruits, white chocolate and white pepper. Very pretty, elegant and balanced.

Just arrived. This is a Highland blended Scotch whisky from the JAPONISM range, which is very popular in Japan. This is one of the somewhat older whiskies of its kind, as the youngest components were distilled back in 1976. This means that the whisky will be 47 years old when it is bottled in 2023. It spent this long time in a hogshead before only 281 bottles were bottled at 49.0% alc/vol.

Bimber distillery continues his remarkable SHOULDER OF GIANTS series. This time, the London-based distillery has selected three single casks that pay tribute to German personalities. Ludwig van Beethoven, Marlene Dietrich and Albert Einstein can be seen on the artfully designed front labels. A Boubon Cask (Ludwig - 242 bottles), an Oloroso Cask (Marlene - 272 bottles) and a Tawny Port Cask (Albert - 252 bottles) were bottled. All three bottles were bottled at cask strengths between 58.1 and 58.7%.

A century ago today, November 11, 1924, Suntory's Yamazaki Distillery began operation. For some, today marks the real 100th anniversary of Japanese whisky. To celebrate, we have activated a rare bottle of Yamazaki 10, which has not been bottled since the end of 2013, in the store.

Benjamin Boothe is in charge of the enjoyment of the independent bottler Tamosi, not least to honor his roots. His mother comes from Guyana and his father from Jamaica, although Boothe was born in the UK. Rum is practically in his blood, and you can tell from the quality of his products.

TRINIDAD TDL 2003
The dirty "beast" from Trinidad New single cask bottling from independent bottler TAMOSI. Excellent choice, excellent pick. Notes: In addition to the typical tropical notes, there is a rough earthiness - a wild mix of dark leather, damp to***co and a hint of tar, which gives the rum something raw and untamed. The spicy accents of cinnamon and pepper are therefore more intense and give the rum a slightly rustic charm. The finish has a bitter, almost mineral aftertaste which, together with the slightly smoky note, gives the impression that this rum has come straight from an old wooden barrel that has been maturing in a dusty cellar for years.

MULTIBLEND GUYANA CASK
An incredible blend with an even more incredible finish. Three barrels from Barbados (Secret Distillery), Panama (Secret Distillery) and Jamaica (Secret Distillery) receive an exclusive long finish of 3.5 years (!!!) in three legendary rum barrels from Guyana, in which rums with the marks PM 1998, SWR 2001, KFM 1991 were previously stored.

After finishing, these barrels were mashed together and bottled at a cask strength of 60.2%. The result: This is made for REAL RUM LOVERS. Intense fruit, distinctive wood, spice, dark earth, esters, tropical fruits.

ISAUTIER Rhum 2009/2023 - 13Y La Cour - Foundations - 59% 0,7L Limited to 389 bottles. Named after the old distillery's nickname, La Cour. The photo on the box and label shows Saint-Pierre in the 20th century as seen from the Isautier distillery of the time, built in 1871 by Antoinette Isautier on the waterfront, which the workers then called "The Court". This building is considered the cradle of today's distillery and its remains bear witness to the history of the distillery's know-how. Maturation: 100% tropical 13 years in former French oak cognac barrels in the distillery's cellars in Saint-Pierre de la Reunion.

SAKURAO is genuine whisky, 100% produced, matured and bottled in Japan. A brand exists under the name Togouchi, which mixes Scotch and Canadian whisky with whisky from Sakurao and sells it as a blend. Many people mistakenly think that Togouchi is Japanese whisky, which is incorrect. So if you want to get to know the 100% Japanese part of Togouchi whiskies, you have to buy whisky from the SAKURAO distillery, which is located in the south of Japan near Hiroshima. The crowning glory for the young distillery now comes in the form of an exclusive selection from the traditional London whisky house Berry Bros & Rudd. Its reputation is beyond dispute and even if you may have often wondered about the dubious origins of Japanese distilleries that don't even exist: here you can be 100% sure. Finally back in stock, a true classic of Japanese whisky culture and history. Distilled over a coal fire in small pot stills just one kilometer from the Sea of Japan, Yoichi single malt is characterized by delicate salty notes, strength, oiliness and peat smoke with up to 20 ppm. While the distillery's flagship, Yoichi Single Malt, is permanently available, only a few bottles of Yoichi 10 y.o. are available each year. Now the new batch is ready to fill nosing glasses with aromas of herbs, soft pastry notes and fruity and earthy hints.

After the overwhelming success of the first two WU DRAM CLAN America releases, a Tennessee and a Bourbon whiskey, we are now delighted to present a true highlight of the American whisk(e)y art: a Single Barrel Rye Whiskey. With this exclusive series, we want to take whisk(e)y lovers on a taste journey through the USA. But what makes rye whiskey so special? Unlike other types of whisk(e)y, rye whiskey is mainly made from rye, and the proportion of rye must be at least 51% by law. Our rye goes one step further: with an impressive rye content of up to 90%, it promises an exceptionally spicy and complex taste experience that will make connoisseurs rave. This rye whiskey was bottled directly from a single barrel - with a limited edition of just 294 bottles. The ageing in new, burnt oak barrels gives it intense notes of pepper, spices, citrus fruits and a hint of mint. With a volume of 46%, it offers the perfect balance between strength and enjoyment.
