At the XIX. Festival del Habano 2017, Habanos S.A. presented the new premium line of the Montecristo brand to the public for the first time.
After the unusually mild Montecristo Open line was introduced with great success in 2009, the traditional brand has now received another product line. Based on the founding year, the new series was called „Linea 1935“.

The „Dumas“ is an elegant Prominentes with (130 mm and a ring gauge of 49.

Cristal ist das ikonische Symbol des Champagnerhauses Louis Roederer aus Reims. Diese erste Cuvée Prestige der Geschichte wurde auf Geheiß des russischen Zaren Alexander II im Jahr 1876 kreiert und blieb diesem bis zur russischen Revolution quasi exklusiv vorbe-halten. Dieses Kunstwerk erhielt seinen Namen in Folge des ausgeprägten Sicherheitsbe-dürfnisses des Zaren. Da er stets befürchtete vergiftet zu werden, wurde anstelle der für die seinerzeit üblichen grünen Flaschen, ein durchsichtiges Flakon mit flachen Boden aus Kristall verwendet. Mit Beginn der kommunistischen Tyrannei wurde immerhin dem Rest der Welt der Genuss dieses Giganten der Champagne zuteil. Seitdem wurde zwar auf das Kristall verzichtet, die Flaschenform blieb seitdem jedoch unverändert und die kaiserlichen Wappen zieren die Flasche des ersten Prestige Cuvées noch heute.

Das 1776 in Reims gegründete Champagnerhaus befindet sich in siebter Generation im Familienbesitz und verkörpert mit seinen virtuos hergestellten Cuvées die Exzellenz der Champagne. Mit beinahe 241 ha Rebfläche bezieht das Haus Louis Roederer seine Stärke aus seinen außergewöhnlichen Weinbergen. Der Jahrgang 2014 wird aus 45 außergewöhnlichen Lagen hergestellt, die sich auf 7 Grand Crus der Montage de Reims, des Vallée de la Marne und der Côte de Blancs verteilen. Das aromatische Bouquet ist intensiv und von Zitrusfrüchten sowie von gerösteter Brioche und Mandeln geprägt. Die fruchtigen Aromen und die cremige Textur verschmelzen zu zu einem wahren Prestigecuvée. Die saftige und und würzige Struktur setzt sich in einem langen, mineralischen und salzigen Abgang fort.

Großartig zu Jakobsmuschel, Meeresfrüchte, frischen Schafskäse und Trüffel.
