Defoliating the grapes is a quality-enhancing measure in the vineyard. The grapes are better ventilated after removing part of the leaves and dry faster after rainfall. It follows that the grapes are less susceptible to disease.

Über mehrere Generationen hinweg bewirtschaftet unsere Familie nun schon seit dem 17. Jahrhundert die nahe liegenden Weinberge. Klassische Rebsorten - wie Riesling, Silvaner, Müller-Thurgau, Weißer Burgunder, Gewürztraminer, Spätburgunder, Portugieser -, jedoch auch sogenannte Neuzüchtungen - wie Dornfelder, Regent, Scheurebe, Ortega -, bewusster natürlicher Weinausbau sowie moderne schonende Kellerwirtschaft sind die Stützpfeiler unserer Weinproduktion. Das milde Klima sowie die verschiedenen Bodenarten im schönen rheinhessischen Gebirge geben jedem unserer Weine seinen eigenen Charakter. Die Weine werden sortentypisch ausgebaut und reifen bis zur Flaschenfüllung im eigenen Keller. Unsere Weine werden nachhaltig produziert, um die wertvollen Inhaltsstoffe des Rotweines zu erhalten. Durch verschiedene Qualitätsstufen und Geschmacksrichtungen sind unsere Weine für alle Anlässe und Gelegenheiten bestens geeignet. Zum stillen Genießen, in geselliger Runde mit Freunden, zum einfachen Essen oder zum großen Menü, jeder trinkt den Wein, der ihm am besten schmeckt. Probieren Sie unsere Weine bei Ihnen zu Hause, oder kommen Sie doch einfach auf ein Glas in unser Weingut. Wir beraten und informieren Sie gerne - probieren und genießen müssen Sie schon selbst!
