This weekend, we had the pleasure of hosting a special day for our Cult Wines clients and guests at the beautiful Gusbourne Estate in Kent. 🌞 From learning about the estate’s rich winemaking history to tasting their incredible wines, and enjoying a private lunch, it was a day to remember. 🍇🍷

The sunshine made it even more perfect, and it was great to see our clients come together, sharing their passion for wine, good food, and great company. A huge thank you to everyone who joined us—and to Gusbourne for having us—it was a fantastic experience! Looking forward to the next one! 🥂

The house of Gosset, with a legacy spanning 400 years, continues to create champagnes that embody its core philosophy: preserving the natural fruit aromas and balancing them with the longevity brought by extended aging on the lees, all while maintaining a bright acidity. This delicate balance is a hallmark of the Gosset style.

21 Ans de Cave a Minima Extra Brut

This new release, (57% Chardonnay and 43% Pinot Noir) was cellared in 2001 and has a dosage of just 3g/l. Despite having gone through extended aging, the wine is complex and fresh, showcasing an elegant balance that paired beautifully with the duck course. This wine was a crescendo in the tasting, leading perfectly into the final pairing of the afternoon. It shows an exciting element of salinity and minerality which develops in the glass. Crafted by winemaker Odilon de Varine, Gosset’s winemaker for over 20 years, this is a magical expression of the house’s dedication to time and patience.
