Let’s settle the age-old debate: Panipuri vs. Puchkas! 🤔🌶️ While these beloved street snacks may go by different names in various regions, does the essence of their deliciousness remain the same? Let’s check.

🥘 Panipuri: These crispy delights are made of small, hollow puris that are filled with a spicy-tangy mixture known as ‘pani’. The pani is typically made from tamarind water, mint, coriander, chaat masala, and other spices. The filling inside the puris usually consists of boiled chickpeas, potatoes, onions, and a blend of spices that vary based on regional preferences. 🌟🔥

🍲 Puchkas: The soft puris used in Puchkas are also filled with a similar flavorful mixture but may have slight variations depending on the region. The puchka filling usually includes a combination of boiled potatoes, chickpeas, black gram, tamarind chutney, chaat masala, and other spices. The tangy and spicy flavors of the filling complement the soft puris perfectly. 🌿

Captivated by her dishes, an invitation followed to join the prestigious “Festival des chefs” in Migros restaurants across Geneva and Nyon. Curry Club by Urvi was in Carouge, Plainpalais, Lancy, Chen-Bourg, Meyrin, Balexert, Charmilles. And now you can find the stand at La Combe Migros in Nyon till the end of 2024.

Meet Our Culinary Visionary: Chef Urvi!
Born and raised in the vibrant streets of Kolkata, the epicenter of Indian Street Food, Chef Urvi’s journey into the culinary world is nothing short of a flavor-packed adventure.
As a teenager, her passion for cooking ignited when her uncle gifted her a pasta machine. From that moment, she dove into the world of flavors, experimenting with ingredients, and discovering her love for the art of cooking.
Encouraged by her parents, who gifted her cooking books for every celebration, Urvi’s culinary skills evolved. Eager to hone her craft, she ventured to a prestigious Culinary School in Switzerland - César Ritz College - to refine her skills.
Post-graduation, she showcased her talents at the renowned Metropol Hotel in Geneva, leaving a sweet impression as a pastry chef. Her journey then took her to the United States, where she continued to master the art of pastries in Relais château old Edward’s inn.
Returning to Geneva, inspired by her roots and driven by a dream, Urvi embarked on an entrepreneurial journey. Her mission was to bring the authentic flavors of Indian street food to Geneva in a way never seen before.

1. La cuisine indienne compte plus de 30 types de pain différents, dont le naan, le roti, le paratha et le puri. Chaque type de pain est fabriqué à l'aide de méthodes et d'ingrédients différents, ce qui permet d'obtenir une grande variété de saveurs et de textures.
2. Le concept de "curry" en tant que plat épicé est en fait né en Grande-Bretagne, et non en Inde. En Inde, le mot "curry" désigne une sauce utilisée pour parfumer un plat, et il existe d'innombrables variantes de plats au curry dans tout le pays.
3. L'Inde abrite le piment le plus fort du monde, le Bhut Jolokia, également connu sous le nom de "piment fantôme". Il a été reconnu comme le piment le plus fort du monde en 2007 par le Guinness World Records.

Today we would like to talk about this Indian snack. When you buy our dishes, you can find pakora on your plate. It is always included in Thali dish and chicken roll with pakora and fries. Sometimes we offer it with Chelo dish.
Pakora is a popular Indian snack or appetizer that consists of deep-fried fritters made with a variety of ingredients. It is enjoyed across India and is especially popular during monsoon seasons and as a street food item. Indian people also like to have it with chai (tea) in the evening. Pakoras are typically made by dipping various vegetables, such as onions, potatoes, or spinach, in a batter made from chickpea flour (besan) mixed with spices and water. The coated vegetables are then deep-fried until they become crispy and golden brown. What is also important that it is gluten-free.
