Back in stock! Our favourite Carignan is here again. We discovered this beauty by chance at Wine Paris, and it’s been a must-have ever since.

First planted in 1900 to celebrate the Nadal-Hainaut marriage, these 120-year-old vines now produce a wine we absolutely adore. It never disappoints—perfect for a laid-back weeknight or as a trusted crowd-pleaser at a Saturday dinner party.

If you’ve never tried Carignan, this is your reason to branch out. 1900 La Centenaire from Château Nadal-Hainaut. 🍷

Florence, and her husband Thomas, were once chemists (here in Basel)—now they’re blending grapes! La Durbane, their family winery since 1999, is where science meets a modern tradition in Châteauneuf du Pape. Their GSM blend, made from 60-year-old vines, packs a punch of cherries, dark fruit, and spice. Very tasty. Turns out, chemistry was just the beginning of much greater things…

Tonight’s experiment - Beef Rendang with OR-ANGE by Château de Jau. Such a great combo and definitely a favourite. An aromatic orange wine with floral notes and tropical flavours. Brilliant with the spice and richness of Rendang. Surrender to adventure …. Experiment with your food and wine pairings! Thank you Château de Jau.

There are rosés and then there is Arquitón. 100% Garnacha from Las Pedreras in Sierra de Gredos. It’s fine and elegant, like all of Barbara’s wines, and with delicate citrus flavours, white flowers & mineral notes. Organic, old vines, dry farmed and with a touch of oak. We are fortunate to have some bottles and we’ll be pouring Arquitón at our tasting on 23.05!
