We have some bad news and some good news.
The bad news is there is a postage increase coming.
Standard letter rates will increase from $1.15 to $1.44
Booklet and rolls of Canadian stamps will increase from $0.99 to $1.24.
Postage for standard letters to the US will
Increase from $1.40 to $1.75
Oversized letters between 50-100 grams will increase from $2.09 to $$2.61
International letters will increase from $2.92 to $3.65.
If you are a small business that still mails out invoices or cheques or even if you’re a large business that does these things get your postage before January 13.
If you have a wedding, baby shower or any other large event where you will be sending out invitations, make sure you get your postage before January 13.
That’s the bad news.
There really isn’t any good news, sorry.
Please don’t take it out on the postal clerks or mail carriers/ drivers.
You have until January 13, please share with any friends or family that have an upcoming event where they will need postage. The 25% increase is A LOT.
