Even if you're not participating, its important to be aware that starting today it is hunting season in Madawaska Valley! If you're hitting the trails or walking down a rural road, make sure you stay safe with these tips:
- Wear hunter's orange or another bright colour, and avoid brown or green clothing
- Stick to trails you know, and don't venture onto private property without permission
- See a loose dog wearing an orange collar? Leave it be! Many hunters use dogs to chase and its probably not lost.
