Monos — Tucked just blocks away from Toronto’s Little Portugal on one of the most coveted streets in the city, Monos opens its newest outpost.

This dreamlike space on Ossington is influenced by gentle surrealism and the cultural hospitality of Portugal’s Posadas.

Projects—Botanist Dining

The Botanist is a full-service Grande Café in the Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel, situated in Vancouver’s Coal Harbour neighborhood. The Botanist needed to service various user groups while providing an elevated dining experience. The result is a space offering the guests a variety of journeys through the pacific northwest biophilic offerings.

Inspiration—Quasar Khanh

Quasar Khanh was a Vietnamese designer from the 1960s who became an icon within pop culture with his creative spirit combining science, technology and art. One of his most famous works being a series of inflatable furnitures.

We are currently working on a Vietnamese concept restaurant inspired by the talented designer.

Projects—Oak Room

Reimagining the classic members lounge, with a nod to the heritage of a landmark hotel, and inspired by the resurgence of iconic American bars and restaurants.

Infused by the spirit of both the legendary Oak Room restaurant, and the inventiveness of superchef Victor Hirtzler, guests will be treated to an immersive dining experience that truly blends tradition with modernity.

Paying homage to the oak-clad room, a rich layer of golden and green tones are layered into the space with natural stones, bronze fixtures, and luxurious furnishings. The oak room flourishes again through a contemporary lens on this heritage space.

Project is estimated to be completed this autumn.

We revisited our first ever project with fresh eyes recently. Drawing on our client’s upbringing as our muse, we endeavored to create a cozy, informal and intimate dining experience while subverting the conventions of the traditional Chinese restaurant.
