Words truly cannot describe the energy and feeling we all shared while watching the screening of the acclaimed and sold out (4x) over the weekend! Very proud to say this was produced by the very talented filmmaker .m.pomeroy!!

This is an insightful, enriching and historical journey into some of the experiences of Vancouver’s black community from the past and present while looking into the future..Rise Up Marketplace is blessed to be a part of this amazing film and grateful to share our story with so many other amazing local and gifted peers.

Hey Hey!! We are very excited to share with everyone that Rise Up has been chosen as a location for an upcoming Feature Film!!! The Movie is called “Bad Genius” and is set to shoot for 3 days this weekend starting on May 6th. 🍿

This also means we will have to be closed on Saturday May 6th (tomorrow), Sunday May 7th and Monday May 8th.

Not to worry…We’ll be back and baking on Tuesday May 9th to fulfil all of those Pattie and Sandwich cravings! 😋✨
