Saha makes Spicing Super Simple (now say that 5 times fast!)

Too fatigued by the state of the world to cook from scratch? has been our go to since we opened almost 10 years ago. I used to get Saha at different markets before we opened OCGS. I have brought into the store most of my faves from farmers markets. We believe in the people, we love their marinades/curry/spice mixes and really it makes meal prep so much easier. Two tablespoons of Saha and your chickpeas are a meal.

Mother's Milk/Haldi Dood/Turmeric Latte

I grew up drinking/eating harder (aka Haldi, Turmeric, etc). It is the anti-dote to everything inflammation related and really should be a regular feature in our day to day.

Rub it on your body, eat it and drink it. To this day, if I am sick and happen to be speaking to my 84 year old mother she will immediately say "Te harder ne dood pidu?".... Meaning "Did you drink turmeric and milk?"

Of course, I say to myself I'm going to drink turmeric everyday, feel a bit better and then loose sight of it again. But as soon as I remember I get back to it.

Turmeric, milk and honey is one of my most comforting drinks. This is why I call it "Mother's Milk" and have a special place in our self care line for our turmeric and saffron scent called "Mother's Milk".

Anyway all that to say, you want a hot drink that isn't full of sugar and is actually truly good for you (not just a fad) come by for some soothing Mother's Milk!

Our exclusive turmeric blend is an organic mix with cardamom, black pepper and cinnamon.

Last year I visited MyHouse in the Junction @myhouseinthejunction and I was totally inspired. It is definitely one of the most beautiful restaurant/lounges in all of Toronto. We got to speaking with the owner Judith Santos and instantly hit it off. As we were renovating and thinking how we want the community space to look, I remembered MyHouse and I emailed Judith asking for her input and not only did she give me some great advice, she donated one of her lovely vintage sofa sets to us!!! Thank you dearest Judith and the team at MyHouse, we can't wait to see you again. Also, east Ender's head over to MyHouse, it's extraordinary and here is Judith telling you some of the reasons to head over there. Their food is sooooo yummy and the entertainment so fun.

Cornerstone Home Interiors in the Junction has Gorgeous furnishings and they donated some rugs to us for our grand reopening! We are sooooo grateful!!! Please check them out @cornerstone_junction They really do have an amazing selection of incredibly stylish furnishings .... Really worth a visit from the east end!!! XL Flooring Canada donated the flooring for our Reno. Their flooring is amazing and easy to install, so different from other flooring materials.
