What is Nick’s Variety?
It is an online store(mostly) with a variety of things for sale.

Why?
I am a project oriented person and no one else will sell my stuff.

Is everything made by you?
No.

Can you elaborate?
The store is made up of 4 parts
- Resale (thrifted or found)
- My own stuff.
- Other people’s stuff (artists and local businesses
- Collaborations (me and someone else.)

What do you mostly sell?
The site is broken down into “aisles”
- Miscellaneous
- Houseware
- Decor
- Apparel
- Library
- Food & Drink
- Collaborations
- Adult

Are the prices negotiable?
If you are on the “close friends” list on IG or know me or truly want something but can’t afford it or want to pick it up or want to exchange from something then yes.

What is Neutrasex?
I don’t want to fully explain what it is as I feel it will loose something on the explanation.

Who are your “exclusive Vendors” and what does that mean?

What do I get for posing for Neutrasex?
50/50 profit on prints or a buyout or you can have shared rights to the work.

What do the artists get from their work?
50% of the profit, they choose the price or I pride it for them.

Why are some things so expensive?
That’s the price for the world but you’re different so DM me.
I want the artists to set the price.
Some things I don’t want to sell but I will.

Thank you, everyone, for your support before the event.
To the people who are letting me sell their art and accoutrements,
those who have volunteered to help set up,
and the few true blues who have really helped me put in work on the back end of this project — thank you.

This is another post promoting the event this Saturday.
Some people have asked me to make a post rather than only stories so they can share it, and I truly appreciate that.

Nothing says “I LOVE STICKERS” like buying stickers!
Don’t ever stick them though because you might find a better place in the future.

During the Great Depression, glass companies anticipated a shift in the market. They knew that people would no longer have the disposable income to buy expensive glassware, so they adjusted their processes. The glassware became less ornate, simpler, and stronger. They also added color to make it more cheerful, as bright colors can truly help fight sadness. In some cases, they gave the glassware away as promotional items with food and other goods.

I like the look of much of this glassware. It’s simple, strong, and colorful. Often, art and design become more brutal during times of hardship, relying on simple or geometric, easily repeatable patterns.
I like this a lot as this feeds into our desire to hunker down, bear the pain of life, and endure hard times. This desire is as strong as our urge to follow flights of fancy and act on whims. Both can negatively affect your life if done at the wrong time.

Creative Director: “How about… Imageys?”

Executive 2: “Mmm, no.”

Designer 1: “What about Jumble Jams?”

Executive 1: “Why?”

Creative Director: “It’s fun, right?”

Executive 2: “No… Big Pictures Direct from the Factory?”

Executive 1: “Why is Jim from Shipping here?”

Designer 2: “How about Throw Ups?”

Creative Director: “That’s… gross.”

Designer 1: “Billyboards?”

Executive 2: “Meh.”

Designer 3: “Postrs?”

Executive 1: “That’s a bit too ahead of its time.”

Creative Director: “Let’s just keep it simple—call them Posters. Adding ‘ers’ to the end of names is really hip right now.”

Executive 2: “Yeah, it’s cute enough for the girls and tough enough for the boys. Let’s go with that.”
