New arrival 🚢 from Portugal 🇵🇹 is the Quinta Pedra Cavada from
This great value red wine comes from the hot region of the Douro superior, but at a high elevation.
A blend of Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Touriga Franca, and a few others, aged in oak barrels on granite and schist soils. Aromas of red berries, vanilla, and spice. Palate is dry and medium bodied with ripe red fruits, ripe but moderate tannins a nice pairing with aged cheeses or red meats.

Have you ever tried a white wine from Bairrada, Portugal 🇵🇹? If you enjoy fresh mineral whites, this is for you. The Vinha Velhas white is made from old vines, a blend of Bical, Cercial and Sercilinho. Aged on the lees and French oak for six months. Aromas of lemon zest, grapefruit, yellow plums, the palate has good weight, and zippy acidity and just stays on the palate like a much more expensive wine. It is a perfect pairing for oysters and grilled fish. Available in our online shop. #

💥 Now available is the Cies from one of the top producers of Albariño in Spain. The Cies is made from 100% Albariño from the town of Meano pictured here. The vines were planted in 1954. This wine is made using natural yeasts, partially aged in very used oak and half in stainless steel. Dry with electric acidity, lemon zest, mineral notes, and a nice saline kiss on the long finish, fantastic with shelfish or grilled fish. 🇪🇸

💥💥💥New in stock, two beautiful wines from .marquez.perez Bierzo.

Parajes is a blend of several different parcels from all over Bierzo with different soils and elevation. Hand harvested from old vines, 85% Mencia 10% Alicante bouschet. Medium bodied with blue and blackberries, a floral note, elegant and refined with silky tannins.

La Salvacion is made from 100 year old Godello vines from a 1 hectare vineyard.
Aged in large used oak barrels and aged on the lees. Aromas of dried flowers, lemon zest, palate dry with bracing acidity, mineral and saline notes on the long finish.

This carries to a plush, soft, sexy Crozes that has plenty of firm, focused tannins, solid mid-palate depth, and a great finish. Is the Muros Antigos Loureiro from Anselmo Mendes. This vinho verde comes from the Lima Valley where Loureiro shows its best expression. Intense aromas of fresh flowers, peaches and lemon, palate fresh and vibrant with mouth watering acidity. A great pairing for ceviche and grilled fish.

🦆New wine has landed 🦆

From Bairrada Icon, Luis Pato comes the Quinta da Ribeirinho Pe Franco 2015. This is Pato's tribute to Baga 🍇.

The philosophy for the wine was born in
1988 when Luis decided to plant ungrafted vines in sandy soils, leaving only one bunch per vine to achieve a natural concentration.

This wine was destemmed and fermented in wooden vats for 10 to 12 days the aged in 500 liter new French oak for 24 months and unfiltered.

Aromas of raspberry, vanilla, black plum, violet and eucalyptus leap from the glass.
Full bodied with incredible structure and acidity, good fruit concentration but never fruity, coats the mouth like velvet and finishes with fine tannins. Definitely a wine for the cellar that can age for the next 10 to 20 years.

Rated 97 points by Wine Advocate 🍷
Available in very limited quantities in wooden cases of 3 bottles.

Languedoc red $15.95. Mathilde is the daughter of Rhone Icon Michel. She has created her own line up of wines that express the place they are grown at an accessible price. This red has ripe dark berries, medium body, herbs and soft tannins a great pairing with grilled meats or hearty stews.

💚 New wine release from Mr Alvarinho Muros Antigos escolha 2020. $19.41 per bottle all in.
A great value vinho verde made in a serious dry and intriguing style.

The 2020 Muros Antigos Escolha is a blend of 40% Loureiro, 40% Avesso and 20% Alvarinho, unoaked and coming in at 12% alcohol, plus 1.5 grams of residual sugar and 6.2 grams of total acidity. Solid in the mid-palate and reasonably fresh, this is a Vinho Verde that goes for something more than just zest on the finish. There's ample acidity, but this also excels with concentration, perfect balance and rich texture. It's lovely overall and a bargain.

These wines are unique high altitude wines coming from granite and slate soils. The wines are certified organic, minimal intervention, spontaneous fermentation wines that clearly express their wild terroir. Nothing says spring like a chilled glass of white wine. This case features 3 wines from 3 unique regions.

From Vinho Verde is the Muros Antigos Loureiro, made in the Lima Valley. A lovely wine showing floral and peach notes, dry and fresh with lemon zest and bright acidity.

M.I. white is a newish Douro project lead by Dirk Nieport. Aromas of stone and tropical fruits, dry and medium bodied with mineral undertones and mouthwatering acidity on the long finish.

Patrao Diogo is a fresh atlantic white wine from Lisbon. Lemon and lime notes, dry with a mineral and hint, saline with crisp acidity.

Wine is bottled art.

This masterpeice comes from the sunny southern part of Portugal called Alentejo. The producer is none other than the iconic who have been pioneers in the region for planting Syrah, a grape that was not recognized for quality in the region.

This bottling is the estate red a blend of
35% Syrah, 30% Aragonez, 15% Touriga Nacional, 10% Petit Verdot and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon all grown sustainably on the ancient clay over limestone soils in own vineyards surrounding our estate in Vidigueira. The wine then ages in various stages of used French and American for 12 months and was bottled in 2018.

Aromas of ripe black cherry, blackberries hints of cacao and a faint floral note. Palate is elegant and refined showing fresh fruits, notes of spice and fine tannins on the silky finish. Drinking lovely at the moment with capacity to age a few years.
Drinks very well on its own or pair with a herb crusted grilled lamb. Available for sale by the bottle and case on our website, with many other exclusive fine Iberian wines.

We are very excited to be representing Bodegas Rodrigo Mendez! The project started back in 2011 and is focused on creating wines back in the old style before the use of stainless steel tanks. This tiny project is organic, use indegenious yeasts and grapes are hand harvested. All the wines show fantastic complexity, elegance and reflect their atlantic Terroir. Unfortunately we have sold out of our first order in just one week, but we will have another order arriving in the summer.
