What the heck is DesignThinkers? Oh, just Canada’s largest graphic design conference. It’s hosted by at Meridian Hall in downtown Toronto from Nov 2-3, 2023.

Join us on Saturday, November 4 from 5-7PM for Issues Talks to Al Hayya Magazine.
akiki and from will be to celebrate the release of their third issue.

Al Hayya publishes literary, visual and sonic content on the works, interests and strife of women. It’s published bilingually in both Arabic and English, between Beirut and Montreal.

The third issue looks at the infinite ways food and feminism intersect.

This is a PWYC event. Your ticket includes entry, drinks and after-hours shopping. Funds raised go towards paying our speakers and our staff. Donations also help us keep our event fridge stocked.

Join us on Tuesday, October 17 to celebrate the launch of All The Faces of Me by .alary and illustrated by .banana.

All the Faces of Me is a playful get profound take on the phrase “I contain multitudes.” A little girl discovers her mama’s wooden nesting dolls and feels uneasy about their matching smiles. After all, she had many different faces and feelings inside her, and the dolls should too!

We’re limiting the club to just 30 spots in the interest of keeping it manageable for our tiny team and intimate for you—all while minimizing our waste.

How many magazines will I get?
Every delivery will be a little different but you’ll always get your moneys worth! Each box will include at least one title—likely two—we’re obsessed with and one title we’ve picked based on each members interests.

How often will I get a box?
We’re rolling with the seasons, so you’ll get a fresh delivery every three months. That’s March, June, September and December deliveries.

How much is it?
It’s $100 per delivery, charged a few days before we start packing orders. Shipping is extra but if you’re local, you can choose in-store pick up for free. (I can tell you that the estimated retail value of this first box is more like $150!)

Who’s Afraid? is a reading series that explores & celebrates the scary, foreign, and haunting in all things, thought poetry, prose, and more.

Inspired by everything from "Nope" and "Nanny" to Beyonce's "Alien Superstar" and the works of Octavia Butler, Simone Browne, and Edward Said, invites both readers and audience members to think about "fear" in popular culture and our society, who gets to be afraid, what precisely we are fearful of, and where that comes from.

Join us on September 10th from 6:30PM-8:30PM for this haunting evening of literary delight! You can look forward to storytelling from Natalie Wee & Anda Zeng, Zak Jones, Jody Chan, Furqan Mohamed, and Sarah Hilton.

The event will include an artist talk, where will share a brief overview of their career in illustration and comics-making, before segueing into their process creating zines. They’ll share notes on writing, drawing, and preparing The Shadow Flickers for print.
