Join for a three-week, collage-making extravaganza at .

If you’re looking to dive deeper into your collage practice, this is for you. If you’re looking to dedicate more time to intentionally making art, this is for you. If you’re just looking for an excuse to get out of your house in February, this is for you.

Starting February 12, we’ll meet for two hours every Wednesday. There will be (totally optional) collage themes or prompts. There will be loads of supplies, both vintage and contemporary. There will be good vibes and good tunes.

New year, same Issues 🌟

Thank you to all of you who support the shop & what we do 💙 2024 really was a year of growth for us. We hosted bigger events, expanded to a second location (see: , Leslieville), and our communities IRL and online both grew so significantly. And of course, we sold a lootttt of magazines.

We are excited & determined to continue pushing Print in 2025. Print is for the curious, the passionate, the critical, the playful… Print is for you, and our mission continues to be to celebrate the people (you) and projects keeping print alive.

Our 2025 events calendar is coming together too & we’re excited to invite you out. Our newsletter hears about everything first, if that’s your jam👁️

Everyone’s 2025 bingo card should include a little art making! is back at for another season of Collage Nights. Join us on a journey of cutting, pasting and creating using a myriad of materials—from contemporary to vintage and everything in between. No experience necessary!

Our consignment program is meant to support new—or new to us—magazines. We’ve overhauled the way we think about consignment, to try make the process more transparent, but also to cut down on the administrative work that goes into it, ngl. And ultimately, the goal is to make sure publishers get paid on a fair and transparent schedule.

So! Every season, we’ll curate a collection of 10 consignment titles. Those titles will stay on our shelves for three months. At the end of the period, we’ll pay publishers out for all the copies that sold—and ask them to come pick up the remaining copies. If our community responds to the title, we’ll considering adding it to our regular inventory (i.e. buying copies upfront!)

Our calendar looks like this:
— February to April (Submissions due January 10)
— May to June (Submissions due April 10)
— August to October (Submissions due July 10)
— November to January (Submissions due October 10)

We’re prioritizing magazines here. Zine makers can keep an eye out for Zine Shine 2025. But if your title falls somewhere in the middle, submit and see what happens!

The New Day calendar is now available to purchase in the shop and online! 🌷

$40 – ALL proceeds go directly to support the Red Door Family Shelter.

The Red Door Family Shelter does incredible work in our city supporting families experiencing homelessness, keeping them together and sheltered, while also connecting them with material resources needed for comfort and stability.

Saty and Pratha are fabulous and so are the teams that worked to bring this calendar to life this year.

Tomorrow, December 6th, gather with us at the shop to formally launch this year’s project & pick up the calendar IRL. 6:30-8:30PM. No RSVP, just pop in! A warm atmosphere is promised.

The New Day Calendar includes twelve 9” by 12” sheets, featuring 8” by 10” sized art. Each sheet can be hung independently after each month is done!

We’re so looking forward to next week’s Collage Party with ! It’s happening at on Thursday, November 21 from 7-10PM. There will be sips by , snacks by and an artist talk by . Then we’ll move into the collage room where will facilitate a call and response style of play. We’ll call out an emotion, a feeling, a theme and you will find an image to represent that. It will be a chance to flex your quick thinking processes and allow us to assign meaning to things in abstract ways. From there you can assemble our collage(s) in whichever ways feel most resonant.

Meet our host:
tahsine (b. 198X) is a first-generation canadian daughter of the diaspora with roots in east africa, india, west asia and north america. in arabic, ‘tahsine’ means to enrich, beautify, make better; so it is prescient that she has always been drawn to an artistic expression. tahsine works interdisciplinarily through collage, textile, sculpture and living. she curates embodied assemblages by stitching and pasting together various media and textiles. her thematic influences include – time, space, pace, society, culture, equity, empathy, energy, purpose, and potential – all contributing to our collective states and the spectrum of (well)being. tahsine is a human (be-ing) and a mother of two bright stars (precious seeds).
