An eventful night was had by all who attended the Steak & Scotch in the Sukkah for scholarships event at the home of David Matlow and Leanne Matlow. Guests were treated to scotch tasting, whereby Diageo Bar Academy provided a trained brand ambassador who lead the tasting of a select number of whiskies and a custom CFTAU cigar from Martin Spring and Marty's chez Tabac fine cugars & to***conist Inc. “Come and taste the experience!”

Chez TABAC was founded in 1998 by Marty Spring, on North Avenue Road in Toronto, Ontario Canada as a “safe haven” for “lovers of the leaf.”
The mission was to provide a relaxing environment where consumers of fine ci**rs, pipes & to***cos could come to enjoy a wide international selection of premium to***co mixtures and fine ci**rs in a setting that was conducive for networking and meeting fellow “hobbyist smokers” from a wide variety of demographic, occupational and philosophical backgrounds.

The original shop sported an inviting and beautifully decorated indoor cabana style smoking room and lounge when such a concept was permitted under legal statute, however with the wave of all the rampant non smoking legislation that seems to have “hit the fan” during the past few years almost universally, such “sanctuarys” seem to be becoming less & less a possibility, especially here in Ontario under its’ highly restrictive to***co legislation.

The current shop is still however very inviting. Both Marty and Zahra make you feel welcome and are extremely well versed in their product knowledge of the wide selection of ci**rs and to***cos that the shop carries. There is a great outdoor heated patio in front of the shop which comfortably seats 8-10 friends wanting to sharing an afternoon or evening smoke together.

When you come in as a customer, you will always leave as a friend.
