It begins many moons ago building revell,amc or whatever plastic scale model was available.Always customizing them to look like my local dirt oval heroes for Humberstone,Merritville,Ransomville and the occasional Cayuga & Lancaster.Customizing didn’t mean pretty as a wood burning kit sometimes replaced glue,trying to recreate last weekends track fender benders.
Late 80’s introduced to RC,first kit the “GrassHopper”.Of course it was modified with the wood burner.Needed something more,so we (Randy & I) built a plexiglass McCreadie look alike body.It was so cool! heavy but its the only rc that is dirt oval.Want to show it off to brother Gord.Got a ‘yeah thats nice” you should see what Mark has.A fully custom built Charlie Rudolph #72 dirt modified built by KRP.I was hooked!
Began racing in Hamilton , old R/C World.Not only did i have my own working(scale) modified but had somewhere to race it!!!
