Jennifer was honoured today at Mount Allison University with the MASU Teaching Excellence Award! She was nominated by students for demonstrating qualities such approachability, communication with students, innovation in course delivery, leadership and improvement of student life. She works very hard in the Biology Dept and has never missed a day of work! We are all so very proud of her!!

Granola making day for a quick already prepared breakfast on busy mornings. Local honey is the key ingredient! I also add almonds, chia seeds, coconut oil, coconut, and any dried fruit in my pantry. Add it to yogurt and frozen blueberries in the morning for breakfast on the run!

Busy days in the beeyards! I wish this video could produce the lovely smells of honey coming from the hives. Honey harvest very soon!

Graft checking day! Looking good so far, although a lot can happen before they are capped. 30/30 accepted larvae. #beekeepers #queenbee🐝 #beefarming🐝🍯

Bees will do a waggle dance to tell the others where the forage location is! The dance is the shape of a figure eight with a straight line in the middle. The angle from the sun and the length of the straight portion will tell the distance and location to the food source. I think this one is leading the others to a very beautiful dandelion field nearby. Smart ladies!

Busy weekend with hive splits and adding new queens. Almost half done with splits - more busy weekends ahead!
