Pepsi/Frito Lay will NOT remove GST/HST on purchases for small businesses during the Gst tax holiday. This decision seems unfair. It is challenging for small businesses to adapt, so it is reasonable to expect a large corporation like Pepsi/Frito Lay to accommodate this request.

If you are selling alcohol in your store, there are three signs that you must post as per the AGCO regulations.

The AGCO requires every convenience store that is selling beer, wine, RTDs and cider to have these three signs posted in their store.

Today is an exciting day for convenience stores in Ontario as the AGCO portal is now open to apply for their license.

Convenience store retailers need to log into the iAGCO website where they are already registered. Once inside, they will need their AGCO registration number along with the square footage of their store to begin the process.

The AGCO and the LCBO are collaborating to offer joint information sessions to convenience stores and grocery store owners who are interested in selling beer, wine, cider, and other low-alcohol ready-to-drink beverages.

The information sessions will cover eligibility requirements, the application process, legal requirements and the end-to-end journey to become responsible private retailers of beverage alcohol in the province in advance of applications opening on June 17, 2024.
