Today, our Gabriola Gas Bar Manager, Mandy, participated in Take Your Kid to Work Day alongside her daughter, Abbigail!

Abbigail, a Grade 9 student, took part in her school's Take Your Kid to Work Day and had the opportunity to experience her mother's workday firsthand. During the day, Abbigail helped with a variety of tasks, including breaking down displays, organizing back stock, and even engaging in Diversity and Inclusion training.

She wrapped up her day with an official certificate from Human Resources, recognizing her successful completion of her first workday.

Last week we had a fantastic time at our annual Members Dinner at the Nanaimo Golf Course! We were lucky enough to have representatives from the Nanaimo & District Hospital Foundation join us for a presentation on the impact that Mid Island Co-op’s donations have made to help complete their new High Acuity Unit.

Thank you to all of our Members who attended for a great evening full of conversation, food, and prizes!

Hey Cooper.. is that you? Nope, but it is Curtis E. Bear (say it fast and you will get it 😉 )! Curtis E. Bear was the bear all the kids loved. With a name and cape like that, he definitely was a Co-op Superhero!
