1 cookie can bring so much happiness!!
When the Mount Forest school sustained damage, due to a fire, a young local boy stepped up to help!
Chase, with a little help from his Mom, decided to do a fundraiser, of baking cookies and selling them with profits going to help the school replace some of the many items lost in the fire.
We purchased 5 dozen to help support Chase's endeavors and are giving them away today at TEB's for an RAOK.

1 cookie can bring so much happiness...
Chase was happy to help the Mount Forest School.
He was happy when baking the cookies!
Chase's mom was, I'm sure, quite happy (and proud!!) of him!
I was happy to purchase the cookies!
I ate a cookie and that made me very happy! 🥰
I'm happy to be giving them away and witnessing other people's happiness...because, well, cookies are happiness!
And finally, the students and teachers of that school are sure to be very happy that people like Chase care. ❤️

He passed away early this morning. 💔
I know he and Terrance are watching over us.
To say this last 12 months has been so incredibly difficult would be a huge understatement.
Our hours may be affected for the next little while.

As 2023 is winding down I find myself reflecting on this past year. This has been, without doubt, the hardest, saddest and most challenging year of my entire life.
It sometimes feels like my heart is lost and it's difficult being at home and at the store without Terrance. The constant reminder of my loss breaks my heart and I sometimes wonder how it keeps beating.
These people...these amazing, beautiful people... have truly been the heartbeat that has kept and continues to keep this store going until, hopefully one day, my heart finds its' rhythm again. Each of you are a blessing and I'm so incredibly grateful for all that you have done and continue to do.
Nicole, Paul, Gerri, Madison, Sandy and Eaven...you are all appreciated more than you know. ❤

Some ingenious (and generous!) members of our community would like to donate to the Drayton Food Bank this year and want your help to reach their goal.
Donate an item for the food bank and receive 2 Plinko chips...drop the chips and whatever it lands on this community member will donate that amount to the Food Bank. Or just donate $1.00 to the Food Bank for a chip and the community member will donate the amount it lands on.
What a great way to give to the community Food Bank and have fun while doing it!
