Everyone at Le Pick Up is sad to say goodbye to Mr. MouMou - our furry, mischievous and pulled porc loving neighbour cat. He was a fixture on the picnic table and the doorway for many years. Rest in Peace fluffy friend. 💔💔💔

The time has come for me to say goodbye to my beloved Pickup!!

I have loved my time here and learned much, but life is short and I want to do more things! I am passing the torch to Bernie and Marc, to pursue my work in helping people navigate death and dying (I know, weird transition but sometimes these things find you).

It's hard to say goodbye. This project has meant so much to me and has always been about so much more than just a business. It's been an opportunity to create community and carve out a space that encourages people to connect in surprising ways. It's also been about art and music and zines and weird and yes, lots of seriously delicious food!

I am deeply grateful to everyone I have worked with over the past 16 (!!) years. Pros, misfits, innovators, charmers...I have learned from some of the best in the game, laughed a lot and found many lasting friendships along the way. Everyone who has come through this place has left a print on it and there has been so much heart and remarkable talent at the core of this project. Thank you!! A big shout out to all the customers and neighbors who helped us grow over the years. Those who trekked across town in the middle of winter or made us your first stop landing in town or made us the place for your awkward dates or life celebrations. It was a privilege to watch your kids grow up, your paths blossom and your hairstyles evolve.

I wish le Pick Up many more years of success. May she continue to groove to her own beautiful music!
