Please don't drink and drive this long weekend. It shatters lives. This preventable tragedy has cost the lives of 'Johnny Hockey' Gaudreau (31) and his brother Matthew Gaudreau (29), as the pair were struck by a suspected drunk driver while on bicycles in Salem County, New Jersey last night. - ABP

A delicious,refreshing, lemony, creamy, bubbly beverage. Get some Prosecco and vodka from Aligra Wine & Spirits and lemon sorbet from The Italian Centre shop and make yourself some fun cocktails!

A Sgroppino is a classic Italian cocktail originating from Venice. It is a light, refreshing drink traditionally made by combining lemon sorbet, Prosecco (Italian sparkling wine), and a splash of vodka. The ingredients are whisked together until they reach a creamy, frothy consistency.

Ingredients:
1 scoop of lemon sorbet
1/2 cup Prosecco
1 shot (1 oz) of vodka

Instructions:
In a chilled bowl, whisk the lemon sorbet until it softens slightly.
Slowly add the Prosecco while whisking, creating a smooth, frothy mixture.
Add the vodka and whisk again until everything is well combined.

Pour the mixture into a chilled flute or coupe glass and serve immediately.
Sgroppino is often enjoyed as a palate cleanser between courses or as a light dessert drink.
