W.C. Fields believed that when the world serves up a particularly sour batch of reality, sometimes you need to find your own creative recipe for getting through.
Fields was one of the world's greatest pantomimists, comedians, and vaudeville performers (turned Hollywood icon), and built his career on cynical wit and perfectly-timed comedic grumpiness.
Behind his curmudgeonly persona was a master of both physical comedy and devastatingly dry one-liners that still resonate nearly a century later.
He knew that conventional optimism isn't always the answer—a little irreverence goes a long way. A bit of levity is, at least in our opinion, better than doomscrolling.
Happy Wednesday y'all. Cheers! 🥃
(The recipe for the whisk(e)y sour is also in the comments 😊)
