It's our favourite time of year again, whisky fans! 🥃 The Victoria Whisky Festival is kicking off next Thursday at the gorgeous Hotel Grand Pacific! This year marks the festival's 19th celebration, and we’re pumped to be part of a masterclass on Friday night! 🎉 We’ll be pouring a brand new whisky that’s so secret I might be in trouble for even mentioning it! Surprisingly, there are still a few tickets available, so don’t miss your chance—check out the Strath Liquor Store website to grab yours: https://www.strathliquor.com/victoria-whisky-festival-tickets.

Also, the amazing folks at .victoria will be hosting a Stillhead-themed brunch on Saturday—no tickets needed! The menu was fantastic last year, and we can’t wait to see what their talented team whips up this time.

** New Release Alert **

We've made a small batch Wild Blackberry Liqueur! This is a product we started out making when we first opened our distillery, but with the success of our Wild Blackberry Gin and Vodka there was just never enough time or blackberries for the liqueur. Then in 2020 we finished the label, but still never had the time to get the product over the line. Finally this year we've hoarded enough berries to put out a small release. The results are fantastic, jammy, just sweet enough, and dying to be poured on top of a dry sparkling wine! Also sips very well on ice.

Available online and instore beginning now. 20% alc./vol. $25 + tax.

We've bottled our BC Distilled audience favourite rye whisky just in time for Christmas. If you've been by the distillery since the summer, this was cask #137 which was our self fill cask. With the lounge getting much busier we weren't able to help our guests fill bottles, and we had many requests for a full size bottle. So here it is! This is simply a must try in the tasting room. After aging in an ex bourbon barrel, we transferred the whisky to an anejo tequila cask. The cask gave up tons of tequila notes, layering agave complexity into the spicy, sweet herbaceous rye.

Also available online and instore. Bottled at natural cask strength of 65.4% alc./vol. $103.48 + tax.

And Janel our Assistant Distiller is expecting! She'll only be working until the 21st of this month, and then will be off to welcome a new member of her family! We'll miss her next year but are excited for her and her fam!

Come celebrate our 7th anniversary beginning Friday December 13th!

Join us at one of two events (or both):
- On Friday @ 7pm our 7th anniversary masterclass, and a chance to taste some special whiskies, from our oldest cask to our secret 2025 release
- On Saturday @ 3pm our new blending workshop where you get to blend your own whisky and take it home in a bottle

Tickets are available by emailing [email protected] or hit the Eventbrite link in our bio/about section.

We’ll also be dropping a couple surprise new products, so even if whisky isn’t your thing, our lounge is still open and there will be something new to sip!

For food we have Hide N Seek Asian comfort food on Friday and Phat Bastard Eats burgers on Saturday, and Whisky Cream drinks on special.

We’ve partnered with and launched an exclusive single cask rye whisky!

Cask #146 has always been one of our favourite casks in the warehouse. Made from a 100% rye mashbill, the spirit was aged in new charred American oak casks. This cask was made by to our specifications, with the goal of producing a rye whisky that was balanced with orchard fruits, herbal notes and light spice. We had a great time bottling this cask with the Mid Island crew!

Bottled at 50% alc./vol., this is a whisky that hits a sweet spot between traditional Canadian Whisky style and American rye whiskies.

Get it exclusively at Mid Island Liquor stores. If you would like to try it first we have a bottle at the distillery lounge for sampling.

Vy and her team at Hide N Seek will be bringing their Asian comfort food to the distillery Thursday and Friday for lunch and dinner! We’re excited to welcome them to the distillery continuing in the month of December. We’ll be working on a cocktail pairing for next week. Until that time, we’ve got a brand-new cocktail menu and you can enjoy $2 off a cocktail when you eat some delicious Asian comfort food in the lounge.

We’ve got some cold and hot Whisky Cream cocktail options for the whole month of December. And most importantly Whisky Cream bottles are back in stock!

We’ve got Whisky Cream back in stock at the distillery and the Duncan, Prince George, and Quesnel Farmers’ Markets. Beginning at 10am we’ll be pouring coffees / hot chocolates and loading your cars at the distillery.

For some reason our 120 litre Whisky Cream product registration was rejected, but we did the next best thing and printed one!

It's ok though because our 750mL size bottle is approved and will be on sale at the distillery Saturday November 30th at 10am, as well as at the .

More good news for our Northern BC fans, we will have it available this Saturday at the AND at the Quesnel Farmers' Market at the Quesnel & District Arts & Recreation Centre.

And we'll save you the math, it will only take 160 bottles to achieve 120 litres worth of Whisky Cream.
