We are very sorry to announce the upcoming closure of the Maple Bay Convenience Store. Due to many factors, including inflationary & borrowing costs, it is just not viable to carry on, regardless of our advertising and marketing efforts. We had set our prices at or below 7-Eleven to encourage local buying, but that doesn’t seem to be enough.

To those who have been regular customers, especially the kids who raided our candy shelves & slushies, thank you for your support for the past two years! We have loved serving the small group of our neighbours and wish we could have continued on doing so.

We will be having a blowout sale this coming week (Tuesday to Thursday), closing up for the last time on Thursday evening.

Please support your local small businesses! In this market, it is incredibly difficult to breakeven, let alone succeed, especially against big American retailers.

Hello neighbours!! We're your local convenience store, conveniently located on Beaumont Avenue in the lower parking lot of The Lion Rampant Scottish Pub! We are looking for some input to ensure we carry the products YOU want available locally! So please respond to this post with your top few items (that we may currently not carry) so we can meet your needs!!

And come on down to the oceanfront and see us! Coffee is always on, slushies are always cold and the smiles are always friendly! As well, we are striving to have 80%+ of our products cheaper than 7-11 so you have no reason to drive to town! Come down and see us :)

North Cowichan is proceeding with a VERY much needed water line upgrade to Beaumont Avenue. While this work is on, we are open! There may be some time when traffic is one-lane only, but it’s worth the wait!

It’s true!! We’re re-opening Mondays as of tomorrow, and open 7 days a week now!! We have drawn for the gift basket contest from before Christmas! The deal was you had to like, share AND tag the store’s page to be entered. We had 72 entrants, so thank you for that!
