Collective - A Craft Beer Shop

We’d like to introduce you to Lane and Kelsey, owners of Buffalo 9 Brewing. We met these guys 6 years ago when we first opened the shop. Lane was a homebrewer, and Kelsey was along for the delicious ride. Over the years, we have watched their daughter Paige grow up, and we developed a relationship sharing our hopes for the future and celebrating Alberta craft beer. In 2020, Buffalo 9 was born! They started off contract brewing - wanting to understand the industry, build their brand, and add delicious beers to the Alberta scene while planning a physical space. It was so fun to be the first retailer to sample their products. All of their family and friends came out to support, encouraging every customer to purchase their canned dream. In June 2024, Buffalo 9 opened their doors in the beautiful community of Killarney. The brewery is an old @canadapostagram sorting facility, which revealed it’s gorgeous hidden wood ceilings and a loading dock that makes operating a brewery so much easier. The taproom stays close to their roots and upbringing - their mission is to pay respect to military, veterans, and first responders. Their commitment to making quality craft beer, named and designed in the honour of brave humans, as a reminder that our freedoms and safety are worth fighting for. They offer a 12% discount to military, first responders, and veterans. The taproom is an inviting space with plenty of seating, a games area,and a patio. Service dogs are allowed inside ,an the patio is dog friendly. If you get hungry, they have “snack packs” available and will be booking pop-up kitchens once they have settled in to the groove of things. They will also have live music and events like trivia night and name that tune. Tag your favorite food spot and musician to help spread the word. July 20th is their GRAND OPENING!!! Hoppy Family Day! We may not be blood related, but we are chosen. Our Collective Community is full of friendship, care, excitement, new journeys and support.
