The Oliva Serie V Melanio Gran Reserva Limitada is made entirely of Nicaraguan filler and binder tobaccos grown by the Oliva family. The cigars are then cloaked in Sumatra-seed wrapper grown by the Oliva’s in Ecuador. The Melanio marks the first time Oliva has used this coveted wrapper on one of their cigars, and the results couldn’t be more impressive. The binder and fillers are made with a well aged Nicaraguan blend that showcase tobacco from the Jalapa Valley region in Nicaraguan. Not quite as full-bodied as you might expect but delivers a medium-bodied experience with a lot of focus on the maduro wrapper for the flavour notes minus the sweetness associated with maduro cigars. It is a 3/4 to Full-Bodied cigar Box-Pressed of a sun grown wrapper harvested in Las Marias farm, located in the region of Namanji in Esteli, Nicaragua, owned and operated by the Garcia Family. This cigar is blended with several Cuban tobacco seeds, making it smooth and creamy. It starts with the signature My Father spice and has a rich cocoa flavor. It produces a beautiful white ash giving it a great finish.
