New ci**rs from **rs it's arrived!

Master blender Oscar Valladares is not a new name to the cigar industry, creating lines like the Leaf & Alter Q that quickly became staples in the industry, but he really wanted to make a name with this super fly, super flavorful, and super sexy retro stick. The Super Fly is the strongest cigar in the company’s portfolio as a result of the blend. The release of this cigar also marks the first time that Dominican to***co has been used in any of Valladare's blends. The cigar is bold, creamy, and well balanced, with notes of earth, coffee cedar, spice, & pepper. Special thanks to Oscar for bring us this very Pimp cigar.

OSCAR VALLADARES SUPER FLY TORO



There is not a cigar maker that is so associated to a singular look of a cigar like Oscar Valladares and the to***co leaf-covered ci**rs sold under the Leaf by Oscar line.

Oscar Valladares makes other ci**rs, including those for his own company, but he is best known for the Leaf line. While the Leaf line is certainly one of, if not the most interesting way to package a cigar we’ve seen in quite some time, it’s not that exciting. At the 2019 IPCPR Convention & Trade Show, Oscar Valladares To***co & Co. showed off two different striking ci**rs: Wild Hunter, packaged in hunting regalia, and a very purple-themed line called Super Fly.

The company says that it is the strongest cigar it has made to date. It uses a Mexican San Andrés wrapper over a Honduran binder and fillers from the Dominican Republic, Honduras and Nicaragua.

Most samples are dismissed with only a rare, select few being deemed worthy, but regretfully due to to***co limitations, costs, and construction limitations, most of these blends cannot be made into their own stand-alone line. However, they are so perfect in flavor and aroma, we continue to selfishly make them for ourselves to smoke. This is not our desire; we want the Liga Privada connoisseur to enjoy the very same ci**rs we smoke regardless of any reason. With this in mind, we have created the Liga Privada Unico Serie – a home for these unique ones. All of the ci**rs within this series are not only different in size and blend, but they are extra special, extremely limited and exceptionally delicious.“

Herrera Esteli is the brainchild of W***y Herrera, newest member of the Drew Estate team. W***y’s presence at Drew Estate is notable, as he brings an authentic Cuban influence to the team. Herrera Esteli is a medium plus blend that is exceptionally creamy with great balance of spice and sweet. Herrera Esteli will be available at select retailers in 25ct Slide Lid Boxes. The brand will feature five sizes, including the Short Corona Gorda, Robusta Extra, Lonsdale Deluxe, Toro Especial, and Piramide Fino.

JD speaks about W***y coming on board at Drew Estate:

“Unlike most companies, we have decided to take the slow and low approach to his joining our team. Basically, we stuck him in Nica for over a year at a bench and gave him the key to our to***co and said: “Create a great cigar…” We gave him no boundaries or limits. W***y then spent forever working on this first blend… drove me a little crazy, made a lot of bad blends along the way, but I think we overwhelmed him a bit – I don’t think he was prepared to have so many to***cos to blend from, rather daunting… our man Nicholas helped nudge him a little here and there and voila! W***y created something I consider great.

Translated to English, “Liga Privada” means “private blend.” It is the perfect name, as this cigar was originally crafted not for resale, but for our own personal humidors. Dozens of intricate blends were created, but No. 9 was flawless in both flavor and character. Very limited production, available only from Appointed Merchants.

1502 Ci**rs is a brand of the Global Premium Ci**rs (GPC) company. Founded by Enrique Sanchez Icaza, the company is based in Nicaragua and focuses primarily on premium ci**rs with Nicaraguan blends. The name 1502 comes from the year Christopher Columbus discovered Nicaragua. 1502 Emerald is one of the three lines of 1502, the blend is a combination of carefully selected and aged to***co leaves: Nicaraguan wrapper Corojo Habano and filler to***cos from Esteli and Condega combined with Mexican San Andres. Characteristic of this line is the balanced and fine strength “Fina Fuerte” (Fine Strong), with a box-press shape. The flavor profile is rich with predominant notes of nuts, cedar, bitter chocolate and exotic spices.

Our visit to Eiroa Ci**rs CLE Cigar Company Asylum Ci**rs

The C.L.E. Cigar Factory is a landmark in Danli for originally being one of two theaters owned by Antonio Kafati, Christian Eiroa’s grandfather. “Cine Aladino opened in 1975 and converted into the CLE Cigar Factory where the EIROA ci**rs are made.
The manufacturing technique has been perfected by a small group of rollers where the to***co is bunched in a way to guarantee perfect construction. This method, perfected by the Eiroa family assures the burn, construction and blend is exactly the same in every single cigar through every size. The manufacturing process is only the last step of a process that began five years prior to the very first cigar being rolled. The to***co itself is truly the key ingredient because it was grown and fermented specifically for this blend in the Eiroa Ci**rs.

CLE Prieto is one of the first ci**rs that Christian Eiroa of CLE has made in Nicaragua and also one of the boldest. Traditionally, CLE Ci**rs have been made in Honduras but Eiroa wanted to try something new. These box pressed premium ci**rs are handmade with a dark Connecticut Broadleaf maduro wrapper and Nicaraguan binder and filler. Medium to full bodied, the CLE Prieto ci**rs are each wrapped in tissue paper.
