And just like that, 2024 is just about over.

Being a small, family run business has meant hard work, barely any time off, exhaustion, steely determination, exploration, learning, and trying to squeeze as much fun time as we can possibly fit into Sundays and Mondays. So here's a few pics of the fun we had this year, rounded off with the fur babies, because everyone loves the pet pics 😂

Our pre-Covid pipe dream is now about to make it into its 3rd year come Feb 2025, and we couldn't have done any of this without your support. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. As we continue to evolve, we look forward to new challenges, new faces, new products, and a continuation of all the good stuff that makes Grape & Barley who we are.

We'll be closing at 6pm tonight, and reopening at 11am tomorrow, so that we can have a little more time with our loved ones before starting the New Year full steam ahead.

This week, we're doing things a little differently and holding our wine tasting on Thursday.

Join us for an exciting tasting session with Graeme, who will guide you through a selection from three fantastic brands: Leura Park, Jack Rabbit, and Cat Out of the Bag.

Come for the tastings and stay for a glass (or two)! We’ll also have delicious charcuterie and cheese boards available to complement your experience.

The wonderful Marie will be in store on Friday afternoon to crack open some bottles of intriguing varietals. Last time she visited, we sold out of the whites before tastings finished, so start your weekend right and get in quick!

Pizzini are legendary producers of Italian varieties grown in the King Valley, and Fighting Gully Road are listed as a 5-star winery in the 2025 Halliday Wine Companion. We can't articulate enough just how good these wines are!

This week, for a little something different, we will have Charlie from coming in! He'll be here this Friday to host tastings of their whiskies along with their brand new rum.

Not only will there be tastings, but we'll also have a delicious Mint Julip cocktail available to purchase on the night.

This Friday, Jerram from will be in store to share their wines and have a chat.

Their vines are located on the inside slope of a volcanic crater, providing one of the most beautiful vineyard views in the region, and producing a great range of minimal intervention volcanic wines. Wine is grown, made, and bottled by this small family owned and operated business on site at Keayang Maar Vineyard, Dixie, where they craft smooth, easy drinking cool climate wines.

Grab a friend and pop down to Grape & Barley to support two local businesses, have a tipple, and a great time. See you Friday!

We are closed today because we are treating ourselves to a short break away to the Coonawarra, where we are making friends and drinking wine 🍷
