After almost 2 years, I am happy to come back and grab this off-the-shelf, dust the idea off, and develop it more now that I have more skills and kiln space to fire out the beer fermentation jars to try brewing here. I already made on batch two years ago and so I know I can make another. I just need it to be in large ceramic handmade containers. According to the state of PA I can home brew as long as it's under 200 gallons and I do not sell it. That will be enough for testing to work things out.

My name is Al Wayman Artist/Owner of Creek Road Brewing LLC. I am somewhat behind but wanted to say hello and that I am real excited about making beer and mixing that with the pottery I create here in the studio.

I always thought it might be fun to homebrew some beer as an addition to the pottery and I am very much in the leaning stage of the process. As with the pottery I am learning that attention to detail is very important.

In the next few years I hope to plan and run tests to learn the process of homebrew and my big goal is to open a small Nano-brewry here at the pottery.

I do not care about getting famous, market share , or competition. I just would like to legally share some brews here when folks stop by to see the pottery.

If you would like to follow along and to see if the start up fails or not feel free to jump on board for a fun time experimenting and learning while trying to move forward. Will I mess it up at times? You bet! But life is far to short not to try!

The yeast has been doing a great job so far on this test run of homebrew. I do hope it turns out ok! I am having a fun time learning the homebrew process!

So on day 4 things seem to be doing great on this IPA test run. It slowed some so I put it in a warmer area of the house. I am excited and hope it trunes out. I already have a few folks who are interested in testing it out!

I received my business license today from the good state of PA. Just need to slowly work all the legal procedures for a liquor license. The goal is to sell one beer out here by the end of year 5. Until then, it's research and development. I plan to do it all right here if you care to follow along.

Today there was a book sale at . I was able to pick up these books for a great price. I then went to Wegmans and had a look in the beer section to check out brand and labels created by brewers.

Later I hope to open my beer kit. All of this will take some time, research, and experimenting. I plan to start filling out the Business Model Canvas for the project.

Making beer is only 20% . Marketing and finding buyers is the other 80%.
