International Womens Day has always made me smile. As I pull into the car park at whatever ungodly hour of the day, I acknowledge my 3 neighbours. All independent businesses owned and managed by women. Big deal you may think, but a big deal it is in the scheme of History. Another big deal is to be able to support this Event in its inaugural year, along with my neighbours. #26 Shakespeare St holds a lot of bloody great women. My staff in particular…total gratitude to you all. ❤️

This is what happens when the Majors take over. Your normal size bag was deleted, the larger family bag was marketed. Small Retailers can’t compete on price and therefore that little treat you enjoyed disappears. Chikos become Cheekies, C**n becomes Cheers…we are waiting for the next attack on Chiko Rolls!!! 😩

Today we’re sharing the sad news that we are stopping production of Fantales.

We know Fantales is a product that many of us grew up with, whether they were enjoyed on trips to the movies, or eaten on family trivia nights – however, this iconic Aussie lolly has been experiencing declining sales. Like you, we are sad to say goodbye. We anticipate that Fantales will be available until the end of July 2023, so make sure you stock up and take yourself down memory lane with our trivia questions.

Rest assured we’re continuing to make our other delicious Allen’s lollies, including favourites such as Snakes Alive, Party Mix and Minties. ❤️

And don’t bother advocating pedestrian options.. the red light disappears next to the 2 Fuel Outlets advertising signs. Seriously LCC? Thank you to everyone who made a donation to our fundraiser for the children affected by the earthquakes in Turkey & Syria. Thanks to you all, we have raised $185 for the cause! The money raised will be donated directly to UNICEF Australia.

There were some great guesses, with the 3 winners getting extremely close to the correct answer 🫢

🥇 First prize: Cassie Monds with an amazing guess of 2908 - just 12 off!

🥈 Second prize: Brad Adams with a guess of 2934 - 14 away from the correct answer

Some would assume we would welcome 52 potential household customers, BUT, we live in fear every day of a major traffic incident along Shakespeare St. No changes to any infrastructure, just more development $$$$. To our locals, hope you’re aware of this and the tiny timeframe you have to respond. Thank you.

FUNDRAISER FOR TURKEY & SYRIA 🇹🇷🇸🇾

We're sure you have all heard about the devastation currently happening in Turkey & Syria, our hearts go out to all the people affected. Local businesses have banded together to raise money, with all proceeds going to UNICEF Australia who will send life-saving supplies to the children affected by the earthquake.

To raise money for this cause, we are holding a ‘Guess the Jellybeans in the Jar’ competition! 🍬

Each guess is $2 (cash only).
