Community Announcement:

Rendine Constructions have requested that we advise residents of an upcoming road closure this Tuesday, the 14th of January. Bannockburn-Shelford Road will be closed between Sutherland Street and Tolson Street due to works taking place at the Primary School. A detour will be in place via Russell Street. Rendine has left a handful of notices at the post office if anyone would like a paper copy. Please spread the word to anyone you speak with who you know who isn't on Facebook and who might be impacted. Thank you kindly 🙂

Here is an excerpt from the petition details:

"The proposed location of the Tall Tree Wind Farm development is of deep concern for many dealing with Sensory Processing Disorders, a common comorbidity of neurodiversity. (*)
. . We ask Acciona to organise and fund a peer reviewed study to ensure that the proposed project does not adversely affect the large population of neurodiverse individuals within our townships."

* Having a brain that doesn't work like the average or neurotypical person. People with adhd and autism are neurodiverse however there are many other types of neurodiversity.

Stop Wind Farms near towns until the affects on people with Autism and ADHD are known

The time has come where we need to remind everyone that as much as we love being Santa's helpers we do not have the space to act as a storage facility. We ask that parcels are collected as soon as practicable. It isn't just large boxes either, our shelves are bulging with smaller items. When there is a build up like this it makes it much more difficult to locate parcels which creates mayhem for our customers and for us. Thanks kindly ~ staff and helpers at the Post Office 🎅 📦 🎄 ✌️
