Well it took 8 meeting and some ups and downs but we finally got our first trophy for the V8 Dirt Modified division. We headed to Gilgandra speedway for the two day show over the long weekend and had a rough start with some overheating issues causing us to miss our heat and start rear of feature. Making up some positions before hitting the turn 4 wall saw us retire with 5 laps to go. So after some temp repairs Sunday morning we were back into action with 6 cars staying for night two. With two 3rd placings in the heats that saw us start out of 3rd for the feature. With a complete restart only 3 cars remained for the feature. So we used this to try some different lines and get more comfortable with the car. Overall was a good weekend and we couldn’t do it without our sponsors.

It’s Raceday. Yup that’s right time to do some racing. After a big couple of days we are loaded and ready to head to Gilgandra Soeedway for 2 nights. If you can then head out to the track. If not it can all be seen on What’s on Speedway Tv.

Unfortunately we are withdrawing from this weekends racing at Tamworth Speedway. With Darren originally to take the seat and then hurting his shoulder and Daniel has made the choice to stay home and looking after his little boy whom is suffering with bronchitis.
We would like to take this opportunity to say sorry to our sponsors and our fans who were hoping to see us this weekend. But our health and families health is our number 1 priority.

Racing recap. 2/3/24
We headed to Lismore speedway for a run.
Pill draw saw us get p1 for our first heat of the night. On a track we haven’t ran the modified at the nerves were running a bit high. But we held our own falling back to 5th after several laps and eventually coming losing a spot last corner to finish 6th.
Heat 2 seen us start out of 6th and that’s where we finished after having some promising laps.
That seen us qualify 10th but with a withdrawal we started out of 9th. Feature was a bit of a hit and a miss with some good laps and some bad laps. Coming home in 8th. And no sooner had we loaded the rain started to come down.
I’d like to thank all our sponsors that make this happen. Dad for everything he does. John Brown for getting the carby sorted. The blanch crew for the assistance and advice on the night.
Our next hit out will be at Tamworth on the 20th April. Hope to see yous all there

Well our night didn’t quiet go to plan
Heat 1 started 3rd finished 4th after slipping up bit high
Heat 2 we started off 2nd and went backwards off the start with the wrong set up and ended up backing it into the wall resulting in some damage.
Heat 3 we started out of 3rd and pulled infield about 5 laps in as carby was flooding itself and didn’t want to risk damage to the motor
We got all the issue sorted and fueled up ready to take p11 starting position on the feature. Unfortunately we were unable to take the green flag as we couldn’t grab top gear due to worn linkages

Cars washed and unloaded. And on stands ready to sort everything out.

We managed to get a little done last year even know the main Man was injured. But thanks to my boys Daniel. Liam. Trev. And thanks to j***y day care. Johnny next door. And spot.

11/6 we made the trip to Dubbo speedway to run the V8 Dirt Modified showdown with 11 car nominated it was going to be a good show. Heat 1 we drew 8th spot and held that spot coming home in 8th. Heat 2 we had 2nd on the outside front row. We got the jump off the start but went yellow for full restart. We done the same thing and got the jump and lead the first 3 laps before dropping back to 2nd and eventually falling back to 3rd position. Heat 3 we started out of 5 and maintained that until the closing laps coming home in 6th which saw us qualify 6th for the Main. Bit nervous going into the main as we hadn’t finished a feature yet due to running out of fuel. We held 6th for 19 3/4 laps before getting 5th coming out of turn 4 for the last time. Had a great battle with Paul Markulin for multiple laps in the feature. And was good clean racing the whole night.

Just a quick update as we head home. Racing is all done and dusted for this season. We qualified 6th in the feature and managed to bring home a 5th place finish. Full race report tomorrow.

Well unfortunately Mother Nature won last night with the racing being cancelled due to rain before we even unloaded the car. Another long trip to ECS with no racing. Time to re group check a few things and prepare for the Sportsman Showdown at Dubbo the june long weekend.

Well we are locked and loaded ready to head to eastern creek speedway tomorrow where Dj will pilot the V14 sportsman modified for the last time at eastern creek this season.
