UPDATE: Tasted 13-2-25 🍷🥰

Its amazing a wine made to be consumed young within 6-8 years, is still holding together very well indeed at 22 years old. It's a testament to the team at Two Hands (well done Matt Wenk) that the wine is still very drinkable without decanting or fussing. Pop the Cork using an 'ah-so' (not a corkscrew) - you will notice the corks are close to end of life but not leaking. For what was a $65 wine on release, its evidence that great storage goes a very long way to getting the best out of the bottles.

Tasting Note:

Less full bodied that most McLaren Vale Shiraz's, 14.5% ABV, 2003 was a hot year and I was filly expecting the wine to have some stewed fruit character, but none prevail, thankfully. Amazingly still some acid up front, mid weight palate, vanilla, spice and everything in balance. We enjoyed it with Pepperoni Pizza. You wont be dissapointed, an easy midweek drinker. Finish your allocation within 12 months.

Nestled in the western edge of Australia's Barossa Valley, Greenock Creek Wines benefits from the region's Mediterranean climate, characterized by warm summers and mild winters. This climate, coupled with the rich loamy soil of the creek flats used for the Apricot Block vineyard, contributes to the intense, fruit-forward character of their wines.
