"FreeWheeler has all the hoppy goodness of an IPA without the alc. Fully fermented just like a normal beer. Citrusy, tropical perfume and slight caramel malt are the highlights of this beer that allows you to Free Wheel home!

The process of brewing FreeWheeler is unique to BentSpoke due to the filtration process. BentSpoke uses a unique filter system from brewery equipment manufacturer DME. The filter removes all the fermented beer flavour called the retentate leaving the permeate (alcohol and water) behind. The flavour is then rehydrated with deaerated water, carbonated and is ready to package. Using this process allows BentSpoke to replicate full strength beer flavour in a non-alcohol beer.”

Okay, that’s enough of that!

It’s time to unplug, throw your phone in a blender and get back in touch with nature. And by nature we of course mean hops. So give yourself over to our algorithm for a change because we’ve been learning about you too and we know that you’re going to love this NEIPA.

We’ve combined Cryo Ekuanot, Amarillo and Mosaic hops to create a flavour profile akin to fresh squeezed orange juice with a hint of stonefruit. The Cryo Ekuanot leaves a lingering herbal note that adds complexity and brightness making it far more sessionable than the ABV suggests. So be careful, you might find yourself mindlessly scrolling back to the fridge for another one."

For the first Limited Release of 2025 we’re asking you to sense check a brand new hop in the MCBC repertoire. McKenzie is a new world hop from Yakima Valley that promises lifted fruity notes of nectarine, lemon and melon with some added complexity thanks to some secondary piney and herbaceous flavours. We’ve paired it up with Citra, Simcoe and Mosaic to amplify these characteristics and balance the flavour profile creating an easy drinking NEIPA to get you through the rest of the holiday period.

"Mechanical Bull is a brand new Double IPA which we have bombarded with the straight up insane hop combo of Nectaron Cryo, Peacharine, Citra Hyperboost, Citra and Nectaron. Wow, we wanted to kick things off with a bang this year and let's just say that this isn't our first rodeo. This is an all time haze that pours a dense and creamy nectar, super light and yellow in colour. Take a whiff to be bombed with exploding aromas of mango nectar, peach gummies, tropical crush cordial. On the palate expect to have your taste buds drowned by a tidal wave of tropical fruit. Massive hits of succulent passionfruit, mango, lychee and guava up front, with a layered intensity that keeps the party flowing long after each sip. The finish is ultra citrusy with orange and mandarin popping through for a final flavour burst that will keep you coming back time and time again. "

"Day Off is a brand new West Coast IPA that we've brewed to help you hold onto the memories of those sweet sweet days off you had over the holidays. Looking for a delicate balance of old school pine and new school hop punch , we've loaded it up with Nelson Sauvin Cryo, Citra, Simcoe and Rakau, plus a little sprinkle of Riwaka Cryo in the whirlpool. Aromatically this beer is a masterclass of kiwi hop magnificence. Passionfruit and citrus from the Riwaka lead into wafts of white wine and lychee from the Nelson with just a hint of dank. On first sip you'll be met with a firm full palate bitterness, that slowly fades into waves of orange citrus crush, lychee and passionfruit, with a strong underlying piney resin that carries throughout. This is about as bang on as modern West Coast IPA gets for us.“

"Our first beer with the Coloradans (yes, that’s the correct term) was back in 2022, Verandah Views, and since then, they've opened a new brewery at the base of Mt Blanc in France. So this collaboration has been brewed together by brewers from USA, Australia and France.

Outer Range love to use noble hops alongside new world hops, so for Party Lap we’ve paired Tettnang up with Citra and Cascade to create a complex blend of grapefruit and lemon with dried flowers and spice on a soft, pillowy body.

And even though it’s only the first of many beers we’re really proud of, you have our permission to party through it like it’s our last one of the day."

“It’s Just The Way It Goes is a brand new IPA that we’ve brewed with the banging combo of Citra, Motueka and Nelson Sauvin. We’ve started our house IPA recipe that gives us a super soft yellow colour and a soft creamy mouthfeel. On the nose orange citrus dominates, with mandarin and orange zest bursting out. Take a sip and you’ll be instantly hit with happiness in a glass that consists precisely of notes of soft peach, lime splice, and orange sunkist. The finish is sweet, but refreshing and has an unbelievably high level of crushability. The perfect crusher IPA.”

“Calling It A Year is a brand new double dry-hopped IPA that we saturated with Nelson Sauvin Amplifire, Citra, Cashmere and Nelson Sauvin. Holy smokes, 2024 has FLOWN by and to be honest, we’ve seen enough. This sticky haze bomb is bucket loads of rich Nelson pop, with lychee, lemon, white peach and that incredible riesling character in spades. Citra and Cashmere bring the orange and melon, with a light passionfruit finish. The palate is so saturating and long lasting, you’ll be tasting this one long after each sip ends.“

“West Coast Kush is a brand new West Coast IPA that we have layered with NZ Cascade Amplifire, Krush, Chinook & Nelson Sauvin then finished with Blackberry Kush Terpenes for the ultimate dank and citrus experience. Once you take a sip you’ll notice a pleasant weed-like flavour that more plays backup for the resinous Cascade, zesty citrus and sticky pineapple flavours. There bitterness is medium-to-well-done and makes its presence felt all the way through the flavour profile without ever stealing the limelight from sticky hops.“

“Welcome to Wrapped Week 2024, where we’ve taken a trip down memory lane to bring you some of our and your most loved beers from 2024. We’ve got some Untappd superstars, some award winners, some festival favourites and some absolute summertime essentials. So long 2024, you’ve been a real one!

Paradise Punch is a super JUICY Oat Cream IPA, brewed that we originally brewed for JUICY Fest 2024. We’ve mixed Riwaka Hop Kief in with a late dry hop of Citra, Cashmere and Citra Cryo. Take a sip and you will be taken on a journey of potent tropical flight, with succulent notes of fresh passionfruit, lychee, sunkist orange soda and a nice little hint of white grape. The body is velvet smooth, with a low-medium carbonation that accentuates the smooth and creamy texture of the body. This beer might just be paradise.

’POOLSIDE’

ABV: 6.7%

“Poolside is one of our favourite IPA drops from 2024 that’s been engineered for ultimate poolside crushability. We’ve hit this little summer banger with a dry hop of Citra, Galaxy and Motueka, three of our absolute favourites for maximum refreshment. This beer is just as good straight out of the can by the pool, but if you did choose to pour into a glass you’d be met with a bright milky haze, coupled with soft and juicy notes of passionfruit, orange citrus and lime. On the palate we get a massive dose of passionfruit, grapefruit, pineapple and lychee. Noticeably drier than our last few hazy IPA’s, this just adds to the drinkability. Keep the esky within arms reach and spend the day poolside. “

“Over the last 5 years, we’ve turned brewing into an extreme sport. Like all our limited releases, the last Oat Cream IPA of 2024 is skydiving out of the Mountain Culture jet, hitting barrel rolls from 10,000 feet.

We’ve free climbed the sheer cliff face that is a brand new hop bill of Sabro, Citra and Nelson and ridden the downhill track down the other side, hitting every feature of mango, coconut and kiwi fruit on the way. Before finally sending the design team bungee jumping towards the deadline of another brand new label whilst our marketing team abseils off the waterfall of release photos and copy.

Each week is cave diving into the unknown and feeling the pressures of the release date close in on us and finally arrive... and then we start the plane up and do it all over again.”
