The carefully selected, perfectly on theme hops, which have fallen into the pull of the fermenting beer and perfectly synchronised, create something greater than the sum of its parts.

Mosaic beams intense notes of blueberry and mango, while El Dorado adds a spark of pineapple juice, and short, sharp additions of Australian Galaxy hops provide bursts of passion fruit and peach.

“These Days is a brand new Oat Cream IPA we’ve whipped together with a super fun hop combo of Citra, Krush and Cashmere. We love a soft, pillowy and sherbet like Oat Cream and this hop combo was born for exactly that. Give it a pour and once the foam settles in it’s place you’ll have before you a bright yellow foamer, laden with haze. The body and mouthfeel on this beer will slowly creep in like the stuff of dreams, with a soft and saturating body floating through your mouth. “

“Forget What You Once Knew is a brand new IPA which we have packed full of Nelson Sauvin Amplifire, Mosaic, Citra and Rakau. There’s haze for days here, with a beautiful light yellow colour and strong haze on this one. Popping aromas that are dominated by white grape, peach and pear. Super fresh and vibrant hop notes will explode onto your palate with juicy and fresh notes of passionfruit, fresh cut mango, lychee, grape and a finishing hint of berries. On the finish there is a lasting hop saturation and an ultra refreshing juiciness!”

“When The Sun Hits is a brand new DDH California IPA which we’ve smashed with Citra, Simcoe, Motueka and Citra HyperBoost™. We’re loving the DDH Cali vibes at the moment and this beer is following on with that momentum. Super light and clean on the malt bill, with a crystal clear clarity that lets the sun shine brightly through. The double hit of Citra means we’re in for a tropical thunderstorm of ultra clean and vibrant orange citrus, sticky mango, pineapple and a little tickle of lime.”

“Our marketing stats show, much to our delight, that our fastest growing customer is in the 18-25 age group. So the marketing team has decided to really lean into it with this week’s limited release:

Hey besties!

This brand new IPA understands the assignment. No cap.

Our brat brewers have slayed this Oat Cream IPA by starting with the absolute GOAT that is the Mountain Culture signature thick and creamy hazy malt body. They’ve added a sigma level dry hop of Yakima Chief hop blend Cryopop giving it main character energy which displays lit coconut and stone fruit notes. This year’s batch of Cashmere is skibidi and plays a very demure, very mindful role as it perfectly supports the Cryopop. Yep, Rizz is a total queen, with nothing in there to give you the ick... Maybe except this description.

Ingredients: Water, malted barley, malted and unmalted oats, lactose (from milk), hops, yeast.

Remaining the #1 rated beer in Australia, it was originally brewed for our 3rd birthday, to be a punchy, juicy and luxurious TIPA. We’ve brought it back for another spin because, well, it’s awesome. This year’s version is dry-hopped with our hand selected Freestyle Hops Motueka and Yakima Chief Hops Citra plus the freshest Galaxy we could lay our hands on.

“Caution To The Wind is a brand new California style DIPA brewed in collaboration with our good buds from across the ditch, Garage Project. We’ve made some significant changes to the way we dry-hopped the beer and to say we are stoked on the results would be a severe understatement. Naturally we lent heavily into the NZ hop varieties with Nelson Sauvin and Rakau featuring the most, with a backbone hit of Mosaic and Chinook for a touch of West Coast tradition.”

“As kids, we remember lying on the grass after another backyard cricket game being told about a phantom bowler who would strike fear into any batsman as soon as he turned on his mark. The bowler would take a deep breath and steam would flare from his nostrils, his eyes would glow red, and the batter knew there was no escape.

So we’re shocked, years later, that we’re mates with our very own demon fast bowler, and he’s not scary at all!*

What is scary though, is getting special access to a new experimental NZ hop and ensuring we do it justice. Luckily, just like the Aussie cricket team, we think we have the best of the best, and our brewers have created a balanced, light, fluffy Hazy IPA that expertly displays everything NZH 109 from NZ Hops has to offer**.

“Five years ago, just after opening Mountain Culture, we took (another) Leap Of Faith and brewed our first Limited Release series.

Those first five beers - Paperwork, Be Kind Rewind, Tomorrow Noon, Lightspeed and Yo La Mango - were wrapped in art depicting a rising and setting sun over Govett’s Leap in the Blue Mountains.

For this beer, we’ve combined the five labels to represent the way we’ve also combined the best of all five of those OG beers to create this one silky smooth, creamy and juicy beer.

There’s also fresh mango, pineapple and passionfruit juice added for good measure. ;) IYKYK

“Off The Dome is a brand new hazy IPA brewed in our house Range style. We’ve dry-hopped this juicy little stunner with a few of our favourite hops in Motueka, Galaxy and Citra. Straight up out of the can this one will catch your eye with its exquisite haze and beautiful fluffy white foam. The aromas are popping with fresh cut honeydew melon, lime and passionfruit. Take a generous sip and be met with succulent and voluptuous notes of creamy passionfruit, fresh and juicy orange and a big pine lime splice finish. On the back end, a soft and luxurious finish carries juicy hop notes for days..”

“Never Left is a brand new West Coast-style IPA that we have conjured up with a healthy dose of Citra Cryo, Krush, Simcoe and Eclipse. This crispy Westy pours a beautiful light yellow colour with a glorious clarity and fluffy white foam. On the aromas, plenty of fresh melon and pineapple, and a good whack of pine. Take a sip and you’ll cop a beautiful upfront bitterness that fades perfectly into notes of bright orange citrus, citrus peel, fresh cut melon and hints of pine needle. The bitterness flows through all the way to the back palate, paired with a dry and crispy finish. Making this Westy one of those ones that you probably shouldn’t drink all day but you definitely could”

Well that wasn’t on the Mountain Culture Bingo Card but I guess a lot of things over the past 5 years weren’t and yet here we are in a world where our mascot is a talking Cockatoo.
Kohia Nelson Hop Kief is an infusion of passionfruit and Kohia Nelson hops which we’ve added at the very end of fermentation following a hefty dry hops addition of Citra and Mosaic hops to create a flavour profile that is all about passionfruit pulp and guava juice.
A light, silky body and dry finish make it the perfect beer to enjoy through those long, sunny Spring days. Maybe our cockatoo friend will come down and join you for one?

“Rhythm Section is a brand new double dry-hopped IPA that we’ve generously dry-hopped with Simcoe Cryo, Citra, Rakau, and Centennial. Pouring a beautiful deep haze, the aromas are super spritzy with pineapple, lemon, lime, and rockmelon singing through. On the palate, we get a similar medley of flavours that reminds us Summer is close and long afternoons are just ahead. The mouthfeel is bold and powerful, without overdoing it. Refreshing and zippy, this DDH DIPA hits all the right notes, keeping things balanced and steady from the first sip to the last.”

’WAYS TO GO’ (Range x One Drop Collab)
Fusion DIPA
ABV: 6.6%

“Ways To Go is a brand new fusion double IPA that we’ve brewed in collaboration with our buddies from One Drop as the third edition to our Postcards From Sydney series.
For this beer, we used their trademark Clean Fusion method, a technique that leads to less time in tank, deeper flavours and a really clean final product that has the ABV of a DIPA but drinks like a hazy pale ale. Pairing that One Drop process with our own DIPA base and dry hopping techniques really brought to life the whole reason why we started this series to merge our industry knowledge for a pretty damn juicy result.

This DIPA pours a milky haze with an ultra fluffy, white head. On the nose, you’d think you were smelling fresh mango, papaya, lychee, lime and orange from the Sunday markets. On the palate it gets even fruitier, with sticky mango nectar, guava, orange juice, and a few splashes of dragonfruit for good measure. Rest assured, there’s plenty of flavour and low bitterness that’s not overly dense (courtesy of the Clean Fusion technique) making it dangerously drinkable. We thought we had ways to go to find our favourite DIPA of the year, but this fruit salad has made us think otherwise.”
