It’s with a heavy heart that we today announce we’re wrapping up operations on our Sparkling Margarita Seltzer.
It’s been an incredible three years, but we’ve decided it’s time to turn our whole focus towards what we love most, and what we do best, and that’s our bars Cantina OK!, Tio’s, Bar Planet, Centro 86 and The Cliff Dive.
We have about 70 cases of the original left, and around 150 of each flavour, so if you want to grab the last of the stock, place your order now. Or, head to a MUCHO bar near you and say cheers to the best damn bottled margarita in the world while you can.
A Message from MUCHO Creative Director Jeremy Blackmore:
After an incredible 3 years, and over 2 million bottles sold, we’ve decided that it’s time to tuck OK! Sparkling Margarita in, and put it to bed. Yes it hurts. My teeth are tingling, my eyes are watering. Am I in mourning or just thirsty for Australia’s finest bottled margarita beverage?
The seltzer was an escape from the covid closet. It started as a little project with our friends at The Grifter. 1000L made and sold out in a few hours. We rode the wave and slowly upped production from 1000 to 3000 to 30000. We learnt so much, we had so much fun and we brought so much joy into people’s fridges. It brought us joy too, from seeing the first 4 pack pop off the production line, to finding bottle caps in the most unexpected parts of Sydney. To know we’ll never see someone clutch another broken four pack together and crab walk up Enmore Rd is choking me up. But it’s time to concentrate on what we do best. Weird, fun, delicious, soulful venues for Sydney to love.

It’s something unpredictable, but in the end it’s right, I hope you had the time of your life.
