Hopsters + Frenchies The Cool Kids Vol. 26– Tropical Citrus Berry Oat Cream IPA 6.5%.
This series has always been very solid. Nice even hoppiness, with some fruitiness (Berries) Not too sweet for an Oat Cream. Very smooth, balanced & sessionable. Being in a 330ml can it doesn’t last very long.

Barons Red Head (Strawberry Gum) Lager 4.5%.
Not a big fan of Blargers unless they have a twist & this one does.
A nice red hue. Taste is of caramel malts & then some fruitiness. Still a lager but with these subtle flavours is very enjoyable drinking indeed.

2 Halfs Brewing & Distilling (Alexandria) De Blonde – Belgian Blonde Ale 6.8%. Have tried a few brews from 2 Halfs & I think this is the pick of them (So far)
Got that Belgian vibe going. Classic ye**ty, spicy/fruity phenolics. Very balanced & not over powering considering it’s 6.8%.
Highly recommend.

Range (QLD) Red Rising Red IPA 6.7%. Dry-hopped with Citra, Mosaic Cryo, Waimea HopKief, and Simcoe. Taste is initially of malt & toffee but then the hops come to the fore. A nice Pine & citrus bitterness. Very refreshing.

Good Land (Vic) Desert Haze – DDH Hazy IPA 6%.
Good body. Very juicy with tropical flavours & then the hops come through. Super smashable.
Without doubt one of the better 6% hazy’s I have tried.

Reckless Red IPA 6.5%. An AIBA Gold Medal-winning beer.
Initially the hops come through and then the roasted malt shines. It’s definitely on the maltier side but very well balanced.
A really solid Red IPA. Perfect winter drinking or anytime really.

One Drop Barley Wine 12.3% - PD 02/07/21 – 250ml. Perfect size for a single serve, 2.4 Standard drinks.
Bought a quantity of this when I opened my shop as thought would age well. Tried another can last night & wasn’t disappointed. Very malty, smooth (Big obviously) with flavours of caramel, toffee & bread. Little warming on the way down.
I really enjoyed this & will be interesting to try in another 12/18 months.

Bright + Kaiju - FRESH Hop Monster DIPA 9%.
I am in heaven. This is an Old School DIPA, pre west coast. Very piney, bitter & crisp, with a minimum amount of malt in the background to balance it all out.
An excellent brew.

Sauce Double Cask Bourbon & Whisky BA Imperial Stout 11% - 2023
Great colour & thickness. Quite sweet with initial chocolate flavours before the Bourbon/Whisky dominates. Nothing subtle about that which I like.
An excellent BA Brew.

Little Bang (SA) Safe Space Mosaic and Nectaron Hazy DDH DIPA 8.4%. This is a rebrew. Is very juicy with stone fruit flavours and a nice even hoppiness. Very dangerous at 8.4%

This is a classic Old School Imperial IPA. Very dank, piney & balanced out with malt. Tis a very big brew. Absolutely delicious.

Bridge Road/Deeds Dark Harvest 2024 - Fresh Hop Black IPA 6.6%.
Taste is of roasted malts, coffee & then the hoppy bitterness comes through. Not too heavy. Definitely one of their best annual Dark Harvest brews.
Has been many moons since this was brewed with Mikkeller.

Great Notion (States) Ripe Hazy IPA 7%. Whenever I get American Hoppy brews in the shop, I always worry about how well they have travelled. No drama with this brew.
Juicy, (But not heavy) tropical notes & some bitterness. Very sessionable at 7%.
Great can art.
